Fish! A sea of green,

An ocean breeze, Have you ever wanted to be a rabid fish?

Just a tiny rabid fish in the sea, Eating plants in the ocean

Swimming among the plants is a shark, His name is sha-nae-nae,

He has a pet eraser named Edwargo, Who belonged to a girl named Claire,

Claire has a pet bunny, The bunny’s name is Charlie,

He lives in a tree, He shares the tree with the llama,

The llama likes to eat bricks, So he is called Bricks,

One day, Bricks ate a brick that exploded, So Bricks is no more,

Because after he exploded, He was eaten by a squirrel

This squirrel was able to fly, Able to fly like a bird,

This magical squirrel was friends with a pelican, Who liked to eat glowing worms.

The Girl and The Bee There once was a girl and a bee, They once got stuck up in a tree,

So they sang a silly song, But they got the lyrics wrong,

I’m just glad that girl wasn’t me.

Cats There once was a bat and a rat,

They both thought that they were cats, So they joined with a gnome, And they traveled to Rome,

They traveled to there in an orange hat.

Rain She scraped her leg and was in pain, So she went and stood in the rain, She changed her shirt, And put on a skirt, Then rode a horse with a pretty mane.

Pork!! There was an old man from New York, Who had an allergic reaction to pork,

So they sent him up north, Then again to New York,

He got better so then he ate a cork.

My Spondee Poem

Boom! Crash! Slam! Wham!

She sprinted out the door!

Slam! Splatter! Splish! Woosh!

She ran through some puddles!

The Goat A cow and a snake and a goat,

Were once floating around in a boat, The old cow has a coke,

The smart goat had slowly wrote, The goat had wrote his note on the boat.

There was a girl in a room, It was a room of many kinds,

A room that resided solely in her mind,

And in it she remained trapped, Trapped with her sorrow and grief,

She let only one other person in, Although many tried,

She suffered for many years, And she learned to hide it well,

Few question those with few prob-lems,

Wish she strived to appear, Since few pried,

She didn’t have to try, Try to hide her deepest secrets,

Like the voice of the wind, Always present, Yet never there,

The winds voice teases all, Yet it reveals nothing,

This was how she tried to be, To act like nothing was wrong, But inside there was naught but

chaos, Naught but misery, sorrow, grief,

depression, Naught that she revealed but to none

but one, But even what she told must not

have been it all, She hated herself for all she was,

She saw herself as a corrupt person, Yet she was pure in heart, She saw herself as ugly, Yet she was beautiful,

She saw herself as loquacious, Yet she was a quite as a mouse,

She saw all evils within herself, Yet there were none,

She was always pure of heart and of mind,

She was completely open and hon-est,

Except with herself, The only lies were to herself and of

herself, She cut but hid the wounds,

She cried but only ever alone, She told herself she was horrible,

That was perhaps the greatest lie of all,

She never let on that anything was wrong,

But everything was, She ended her life out of misery,

A continent away, I was too late to save her,

I alone who knew of her problems, I, who only could have done more, I, who should’ve noticed years be-

fore, I, who should have asked, Should have wondered,

She sent me a letter, Telling me how truly sad she was,

She wrote about the end, To be a simple bullet in her head,

She sent the letter the day she died, If only she sent it sooner,

Perhaps I could’ve helped.

The Letter

The Window

There she sat, Alone in a room, By the window,

Looking out at a tree, Alone with her sadness,

With her despair, She watched the birds,

All together in their nest, Singing with joy,

As they flew away, She longed to be with them,

Longed to fly free, She watched the kittens, Alone and abandoned, She felt pity for them, Then she saw the dog,

It came up and took care of them, It gave her a spark of hope,

She dreamed about the day she would leave, The day she could leave her sorrows behind, She dreamed of a future she couldn’t have,

She was there, Trapped in a world of madness, Trapped inside her own head,

Never able to leave, To leave her world of sadness,

She had to endure it alone.

Sugar

Roses are red,

Violets are blue, Sugar is sweet, And so are you,

But now the sugar bowl is empty,

Just like your head, See, this is why you just can’t trust guys,

Why you must look past the disguise,

At first they’re sweet, But then they’re not so neat,

Most are stubborn and selfish, For them it’s all just an act,

If you keep looking,

You might find one that’s just for you, One that’s sweet like sugar,

And has a true heart and a head.

Ode to Nature

Bears brawling, Canaries calling,

Dragons dreaming, Frogs Flying,

Horses hollering, Lions leaping, Lizards lying,

Monkey’s money, Narwhales napping,

Rhinos running, Zebra’s zippers.
