TYPCIAL APPLICATIONSThese oscillators are intended for high-speed data communications applications such as Gigabit Ethernetand Fibre Channel. Common frequencies are: 53.125, 62.5, 75.0, 106.25 and 125 MHz.

Description

These oscillators are an important land-mark in SMD oscillators due to the useof inverted mesa crystals. These crystalsoperate at fundamental frequency, pro-viding a clean waveform with fast riseand fall times and guaranteed low jitterless than 5 ps RMS. These oscillatorsare intended for telecom applicationswhich require very low jitter.

MF Electronics’ creation of a proprietarymulti-layer gold-ceramic package hasushered in a new generation of tiny, robust surface mount oscillators.Measuring only 5 x 7 x 1.9 mm, the T-Oscillators (T is for tiny) significantlyreduce PCB real estate, saving boardspace, and permitting new value-addingfunctions. They are intended for the moststringent telecommunications applica-tions where small size and excellentwaveform characteristics are required.

MARKING SPECIFICATIONThe format for the marking is:

NOTES(1) Letters “FD” are the PN T3592(2) Number in date code is year. In example, “2” is 2002(3) Letter in date code is one two-week period. Year is divided into

26 two-week intervals. Each two-week interval is represented byone letter of the alphabet, in sequence.

(4) When Marking Letter ID is two letters, the “T” is deleted.
