The challenge EXPLAINED

Propose and run an innovative project or business pilot that can create 2-5 workplaces for young people by June 2015.

• can the team create workplaces JUST for themselves? Of course!• (potentially) long-term workplaces are GOOD• workplaces for low-income young people are EVEN BETTER• workplaces that provide learning and growth to open up further opportunities

Criteria

Your proposal will be judged (in all stages of the program) on:

• market need (for what you are offering to support job creation)• team• impact (the number and kind of workplaces created)• innovation• feasibility (is the business model functional? can they get the

resources? are all tools and technologies available or realistic?)• (written/spoken) communication

IMPORTANT!

Keep in mind that qualified teams will get a further challenge: to get proof that the proposal can work, so:• remember that the market is the most important jury member (can you get

proof that the customers will want it?)• propose something that is relevant for your abilities• take into consideration what resources are required (could your team convince

the jury that you can get the required resources?)
