This is about things and a little about software. Things are items you add to your smartphone in the area of the camera.

Some of These Might Be New To You
While Others Might Not
Lens Kit
Selfie Stick
Tripod
Remote Shutter Button
Surface Mount

Selfie Stick
A Bit “hokey” but this
really works
They can extend longer
too
About $15
I’ve used the selfie stick and it looks funny while taking the picture. Heck, holding the phone in an out-stretched hand and taking a picture looks odd too. Wait, how does one push the button to take the picture while the arm is stretched out? My Samsung phone has voice-control with the camera. I say “shoot” and the camera takes a picture.
Slide 4
Selfie Stick Instructions
Use the Rear Facing Camera.
The one pointed back at you.
This allows you to see yourself in the picture
Set up the zoom ahead of time
Use the shutter timer or a remote
shutter button
Slide 5
A “selfie”
The selfie stick is in my left hand. The remote shutter button is in my right hand. All out of the way of the picture. Of course, having a crowd in the picture would be much more fun!
Slide 6
Remote Shutter Button
About $5
You can get these included with some Selfie Stick purchases
Here’s how. A little device with two buttons. Each button does the exact same thing – one for an iPhone and the other for an Android. The technology is just different enough to required a unique button. The device connects to the phone via Bluetooth.

Tripods and Stands
Varying Sizes and Types
There used to be tripods and that’s it. Now…the sky is the limit. Suction stands. Small tripods for the desktop. Tripods with legs that bend in all directions.
Slide 8
Lens Kit
Clip these to your smartphone. Yes, Really
$10 - $15
It Doesn’t Matter the Brand of Phone
Wide Angle, Fish Eye, Macro or Closeup
Single Lens Reflect (SLR and now Digital DSLR) cameras had detachable lenses. Now we can get small, clip on, lens kits. Beware, the quality is not very good but they work.

Best photo
iPhone Camera Features every photographer should know about. This is an excellent articled and I learned a lot even though I do not use an iPhone. http://iphonephotographyschool.com/iphone-camera/ Modes are more than filters. The mode can do more than just add a visual effectd to the photo.
Slide 20
Panorama
Panorama is accomplished but turning the feature and then letting the camera take a picture as you move the view from left to right. Move slowly as the camera will continue to snap a picture until you wish to stop. The software then “stiches” the photos together to make a single panoramic view. Spectacular isn’t it?
Slide 21
Stop Action
Stop action or stop action has the camera taking very quick pictures one right after the other. There isn’t any blurring as the picture is taken an extremely fast rate.

Unique Camera Apps
Mirror of Reflection Effect
Fat Face
One good and one bad here. I love the reflection or mirror effect. It works great for outdoor shots as wells as people. Fat face is much like the carnival mirrors of old. It makes us look very fat or very slim.
