SMART WMS Solution allows you to automate warehouse operations, accelerate performance and accuracy, simplify processes for repeatable operations (including simple data

entry into the system), but also - to implement a complex system of movement of material flow.

Solution is based on the standard functionality of the Microsoft Dynamics™ NAV. All unique refinement implemented in the way that users could work in parallel as a standard

functional, and the solution.

Interface solutions tailored to work with wireless data collection terminals, providing the convenience for end-user working in the storage facilities.

SMART WMS solution is tightly integrated with the SMART TMS add-on, giving ability to manage traffic flow and loads.

SMART WMS Solution supports multilingual interfaces.

SMART WMS interfaces use logic that users can not finish work any other way besides as inherent in the logic of the process. This helps reduce the risk of incorrect work with the

Purpose: WMS Location Setup Card allows to set-up processes general rules for each location

SMART WMS Fast Tab

Fields Description

Use WMS

This parameter enables or disables using SMART WMS functionality for location

Catalog Number Selector of what field of Item Card represents manufacturer item catalog number. This field then will be used by functionality to search by the manufacturer’s item number

Default Printer Choose a printer that will be used for printing warehouse documents in that case, if location is configured without zones. If zones are specified for location, then documents will be sent to a printer defined for a particular zone

Assign put-away to user that posted the receipt If this parameter is active then put-aways will be assigned to user that posted the receipt

Fields Description

Single receipt Warehouse Receipts will be created per every single source document (Purchase Order, Sales Return or Transfer Order)

Purpose: Tare menu used to set location’s bins used to represent tare for put-away and movements between zones in a system

Items Receiving Window. Creating Receipts

Purpose: Receipts Selection and Creation functionality implements automation of receiving (posting) inventory to warehouse. This process executes for cargos,

incoming from vendors or customers, that have no labels or other markup for automatic receipt recognition.

Process provides a solution for receiving cargos by place (palette), make necessary labeling, and also to perform these activities as “Receipt-per-Order” or “Common

Receipt” (for a multiple number of orders).



25 Items Receiving Window. Creating Receipts


Interface Purpose

To create Warehouse Receipt, user should make 4 actions: 1. Select Employee (specify User ID by scanning a barcode); 2. Select Document (manually or by scanning barcode); 3. Specify Places Quantity (palettes, boxes, cartons etc.), if system does not determine this value

from delivery documents; 4. Print Labels or Distribute.

Receipt generates after selecting source document. If receipt was created by mistake (e.g., wrong source document selected) – receipt may be canceled via Delete Receipt button. Select Employee field determine:

who executes operation;

in which location operations are executed; Location field fills with default value for selected user. Select Document field allow specifying source document number to create receipt document. Source document could be of type:

Purchase Order;

Sales Return;

Incoming Transfer;

Incoming delivery (Delivery Routing Sheet);

Document List button provides ability to obtain source document from a list of Warehouse Requests; Document No. Field filled with source document number, Sender – with vendor, customer or “Ship From” Location code, Receipt No. – with just created receipt number (or numbers) When selecting documents from a list, system checks if document belongs to current warehouse. Place Qty. field used for specifying how many physical cargo places selected documents consists of. This field may be calculated automatically in a case of Delivery with filled Places Quantity parameter (if Deliveries has status higher then Created);



26 Items Receiving Window. Creating Receipts


Print Receipt Label button runs labels printing to a pre-defined printer. Receipt printed label may consists of such areas:

Sender;

Receiver

Bar-code

Creation Date and Time

Positions Total Qty.

Pcs. Total Qty.

Place No.



27 Receipt / Distribution Window


Receipt / Distribution Window Purpose: This part of functionality allows to automate processing of all incoming cargo places, to control Transit Traffic (esp. if integrated with SMART TMS), to

control places consistence, to post receiving to locations ant to define time and date of items become available on location.

Interface Purpose

To begin places check and then to post Warehouse Receipt user should run 3 actions: 1. Define Employee ID (using barcode) 2. Define Place No. (using label barcode); 3. Post or cancel receiving;

Employee No. field defines:

Who executes operation;

On what location operation runs; Select Document field allows to specify place barcode (number) and define by this action:

Source Documents;

Check Receipt exists;

Get corresponded Instruction (suggestion).

When place Barcode specified, system analyzes whether there is a Delivery Routing Sheet (Delivery) associated with the Receipt. If yes, source documents are tracked, from which final recipient (Transit Traffic Analysis) and places quantity are determined. Each time user specifies a place barcode, system counts total of processed places (sum). Receipt button will be available only if all places from receipt checked. And if by incident, user scans same barcode twice, system generates error message to avoid double posting. Document field indicates a list of documents – source of current receipt. Instruction field contain short description of what to do with place in current conditions (according to pre-set for such type of source document, location and transit conditions). Damaged check-mark used to mark current cargo place as inconsistent, damaged. If set – Act\Claim button used to create necessary reclamation documents/activities.



28 Receipt / Distribution Window


Cancel Reception button used to cancel all previous actions, and allows beginning checking again. Act\Claim button runs printing form to create reclamation to Shipping Agent. The necessary data is gathered from Delivery Routing Sheet. Receipt button – runs posting of Warehouse Receipt or put a check-mark about transit activity to a Delivery Routing Sheet. Then, system starts posting procedure for all source documents, for which Warehouse Receipts exist. If Warehouse Receipt document has not yet been created (case of cargo places already labeled) – system generates it without user interaction. In associated Delivery Routing Sheet are filled in fields “User ID Received", receiving date/time, and status changed to “Arrived”. Posting process is finished with generation of Warehouse Put-away document, which is used for checking items and performing placement of goods for storage.



29 Item Check Window


Item Check Window Purpose: Items check process allows optimization of a number of warehouse activities:

o automate controlling of all incoming material flows with regard to quantity and quality checks;

o prepare items for speeding-up subsequent processes (picks, shipment checks, physical counts, etc.),minimize system and actual data inconsistencies, and

allows to determine items without mistakes by labeling items;

o arrange receiving, distribution of items (by storage areas) and put-away processes for the earliest availability of goods for picking and sales, which

optimizes incoming processing time without incurring additional expenses for equipment and personal.

Interface Purpose

To begin items check, user should run 4 main actions at same principles as previously described: 1. Select Employee (using barcode). 2. Select place (also using barcode); 3. Select Tare to move items to a Storage Zone; 4. Begin items check.

Employee No. field defines:

Who executes operation;

On what location operation runs; Document/Place field used to input number of receipt processed or just to input place number, so the system will find source document and receipt automatically. If single Delivery associated to a number of receipts and several put-away documents have been created, the system interprets them as a single batch. Select Document button allows choosing necessary warehouse document. If click on button “Select Document” a window will appear where document can be selected. Window contains a list of all warehouse documents, from which one can be selected. After document was chosen, click on button “Check Item”. The appropriate window for item checking will be opened.





During Item Check cycle, user should run 4 stages:

1. Specify barcode or Catalog Code of item; 2. Input quantity; 3. Put item to Tare and confirm cycle; 4. Complete place formation;

Additional capabilities:

New barcode assigning

Item piece count to obtain total quantity;

Formula usage when quantity specified (2+2);

Mark damage during check;

Print barcode label for item;

Delete item check.

If searching used instead of barcode (according to WMS setup, search criteria specified in the No. field) and if any non-unique items found, list of filtered items displayed to select one of them. If Piece Calculation window used, user should scan every single item barcode. Barcode field – specify item, barcode here; Count results area:

Barcode – previously scanned and found barcodes;

Item No. – item number;





Search Description – item description (No., Catalog No., Description etc. according to WMS Setup);

Quantity – item with same barcode quantity (operations counter)

When specifying damage bin, system creates line to set tare to move damaged items in.

Item Allocation window displays:

Where to put items;

Current and previously counts; Completing current count and closing window executes after specifying a tare or employee code (depends on WMS setup). No. field – displaying an item number, catalog number or description depending on “Item Search” WMS setup parameter; Field Description – description of item. Whom field – tare bin code to put item into; Where field – storage zone code; In Document field – item quantity retrieved from put-away document; Distributed field – previously processed quantity; Now field – currently operated quantity; Labels Q-ty field – how many barcode labels to print. Item Barcode button – runs label printing; Whse. Shipment Label button - runs label printing;





Place Label - runs label printing. After you typed a barcode, if item characteristics aren’t exist, then Item Weight Characteristics window will appear, where you can specify necessary weight characteristics for the item. This window will be opened each time unless you specify these characteristics.





Delete Item Check form provides functionality of deleting (canceling) previously made item checks. System records both create and delete item check actions. To delete check, user should:

Select necessary lines ;

Confirm finishing by specifying or scanning user code. User may select lines by placing check mark in the Select field, or by pressing Select all button if he wants to cancel all the lines. Finishing operations area has a field Employee(code); deletion performs right after specifying a code in this field. Deletion can’t be implemented to completely checked lines (if Finish Place Filling was pressed). To finish all places filling – just click Finish Place Filling button.

36 Receipt Menu. Item Put-Away


Receipt Menu. Item Put-Away Purpose: Item Put-Away/Pick allows to automate processes in a storage and pick zones, register operations in a real-time mode, make items available and kit

shipments faster.

Interface Purpose

To begin Put-Away or Pick, user should run two actions:

1. Specify Employee (by scanning barcode) 2. Scan Tare barcode or Pick Document barcode

Additional actions available:

Print document – print instruction and walk sequence; After Document/Place specified first time, this document gets an Operation Started attribute. On a second time – documents gets Completed attribute, and then posted.



37 Shipment Menu. Item Pick


Shipment Menu. Item Pick Interface Purpose

Item Pick completely identical to a put-away functionality:

1. Enter employee code; 2. Scan document number.

After these steps pick-document will be registered. If Pick remains, system will not allow you to post shipment, even if all other lines picked and packed.



38 Shipment Menu. Item Check


Shipment Menu. Item Check Purpose: Item Check during Shipment allows automation and optimization of processes for outgoing goods:

o Performs item checks in respect of quantities and positions;

o Perform combined packing/checking;

o allow real-time status tracking and mistakes and errors analysis;

o Allow using in warehouse operations of not highly qualified personnel due to easiness of processes.

Interface Purpose

To begin item check, user should run for activities:

1. Specify Employee; 2. scan document (pick or shipment) or place barcode; 3. select package type (if check and package are combined); 4. run Item Check;

Employee No. determines who executes an action, and on what location. Document / Place – put a place, shipment or pick number. Source Document will all source documents numbers. Delivery No. will display Delivery number if any. Total Positions and Total Units displays total positions or units for all associates shipments. Check Item button runs checking window. Check Result and Error buttons run Check Results and Errors worms respectively, focused to a current Check document.





To choose package, click on button near the appropriate field. The window with all packages will appear. To run Item Check, user should:

1. Scan Item barcode or Catalog Number; 2. Set quantity; 3. Put item to a package and confirm operation finished; 4. Complete place filling;

This for works identically to a Receipt Menu – Item Check. Shipment Item Allocation representing:

Current and previous counts;

Suggestion about differences. Allocation completed after Operation ending field receives employee code. Then current form closed and user returned to prev. window. Print block works as follows:

Specify Qty. of labels to print;

Push Print button.





Shipment Check Register

Purpose: Main purpose of this table is to store all activities of Shipments.

41 Shipment Menu. Packing


Shipment Menu. Packing Purpose: Packing functionality gives instruments to track all stages of packing process: weighting, places count, usage of packing materials, and process status. This

process integrated with SMART TMS process.

Interface Purpose

To begin, user should specify:

1. Employee No. 2. Document No.; 3. Prepared Places Qty.; 4. Press Pack button;

Employee No. determines who executes an action, and on what location.

Document / Place – put a place, shipment or pick number. Source Document will all source documents numbers. Delivery No. will display Delivery number if any. New Places field used to specify how many cargo places should be registered in a system; Packed Places shows how many places already packed; Total Places – is a sum of both fields; To confirm Packing, user should:





Select Place – select previously created pack to add some amount of items; New Places – how many places should be packed now (with same parameters). For each unique set of places, user should define : Total Weight of specified places, in kilos; Total Volume, metric, cubical; Package type; Packed Places displays quantity already packed. Confirm Packing – confirms, that this cycle completed. Also, if Packed Places will consider desired places (from prev. window) – this form will closes. On a Packing form user may also:

1. Review already packed places by pushing Packing Results button; 2. Print Package Label.

After Packing process completed, system change Packed status for documents, Fill-in “Quantity to Ship” field in a shipment; Check other terms (delivery time and so on); Run SMART TMS functionality (tariffs etc.); Post document according to WMS Setup rules; To run posting again (in case if any error raised, just reenter employee and Place number, and then press Finish Packing.





Packed Places table

Purpose: This table stores all data about packing. This table also used in a SMART TMS.

Shipment Menu. Shipment Places Check Purpose: Used to automate shipment of each place check.

Interface Purpose

To confirm place shipped, user should specify Employee No.; scan place barcode (Select Document); and push Accept Shipment button after all places scanned.
