INTRODUCTIONMany countries in the world are facing the problem at traffic light intersection that causes accident between emergency vehicle(ambulance) and other public vehicle.The traffic control system in Malaysia specifically has not been equipped with appropriate method when emergency case occurs. This will cause the emergency vehicles such as ambulances difficult to reach the destination on time because of the traffic congestion . A smart traffic light control system is designed in order to solve these problems. BASIC CONCEPT

This causes a delay of time and may affect the emergency case. The collisions with other vehicles from other direction might occur at intersections when emergency vehicles had to override the red traffic lights. OBJECTIVEDesign a program and implement hardware of Smart Traffic Light Control System suitable for real life implementations.Design a system that can reduce accidents that involving ambulance with other public vehicles.Provide a good system with appropriate method when emergency cases occurs.

SCOPESmart Traffic Light Control System is focusing at Four-Junction Traffic Light.The priority of Smart Traffic Light Control System has been given to ambulance by glowing the green light to the lane where ambulance is passing and blinking yellow lights at the other lane. Ambulance only can run the Smart Traffic Light Control System when there is an emergency cases. SCHEMATIC CONCLUSIONThe smartness of traffic signal controller is introduced in this project with smart functions and hardware interface. Proposed system works efficiently over the present traffic controlling system in respect of less waiting time, efficient operation during emergency mode. SUGGESTIONTransmitter and receiver can be added in this Smart Traffic Light Control System.

Traffic Light IntersectionInfrared sensor also can be added in this Smart Traffic Light Control System.
