For this event in Singapore, we are pleased to partner with Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Singapore’s fourth autonomous university and one of the first universities in the world to incorporate the art and science of design and technology into a multi-disciplinary curriculum.

The event will comprise 3 panel discussions focusing on:

Opening Panel: Accelerating Digital Transformation Track I: Smart Manufacturing Track II: Smart Healthcare

and will also feature showcases by our partners, associations and academia in the likes of Singapore University of Technology and Design, Universal Robots, MapR Technologies and TÜV SÜD’s Digital Service Centre of Excellence.

For greater communication and interaction at the event, participants can also look forward to sharing their feedback and inputs instantly through live polling on relevant discussions.

At TÜV SÜD, we believe that the three Ss of Safety, Security and Sustainability will be the key foundation pillars to ensure success in a smart nation. By harnessing technology, Singapore’s Smart Nation initiative is a whole-of-nation vision that is expected to benefit everyone, both young and old. With every new technology, comes new challenges and we should be prepared to overcome them.

As we move into “Industrie 4.0”, seamless connectivity, interoperability, decentralisation, flexibility and adaptability will be the order of the day. This will change the way we interact, work and live today. Businesses will need to start employing smart solutions that consolidate people, machinery, installations, logistics, products and services into streamlined systems to reap benefits of improved efficiency and productivity. Besides smart manufacturing, smart healthcare is another important theme that resonates with our Smart Nation vision. It will radically transform the way we approach health, well-being and active ageing. Being a leading technical services provider, TÜV SÜD is already helping manufacturers evaluate roadmaps for their smart manufacturing initiatives and developing Smart Elderly Care @ Home solutions with key industry stakeholders.

Today’s conference brings together renowned industry influencers to share and exchange ideas to accelerate digitalisation, capitalise on Industrie 4.0 and develop into a healthy nation. Smart communities, driven by intelligence, integration and innovation is the reality now as we successfully combine technology, people, processes and policy in a concerted manner.
