For the past 10 years, people in Egypt havebeen moving from inside the city to theoutskirts.

Sitting on the Nile Valley, temperatures inCairo are relatively moderate. However, theyare substantially lower in new cities such asNew Cairo, 6th of October, Shorouk andObour.

This is because they are built on desertplateaus, high above sea level in a cold desertclimate where temperatures can drop to 4°Cat night in winter.

WHAT SERVICES DO WE OFFER?

Works by circulating hot water in a closed loopthrough radiators or an underfloor network of pipesthat emit heat in the space creating a comfortablewarmth without drying the air.

Instead of using an independent hot water source ineach bathroom such as a gas or electric water heater,this solution provides a supply of hot water to allyour outlets (bathrooms, kitchen, etc) from a centralpoint where a gas boiler takes care of heating astorage tank big enough to supply the neededcapacity.

Note: for this system to work, an interconnected network ofpiping must be executed for all water outlets. Make sure toinform your architect beforehand because this must betaken into account when designing the water network.

A boiler generates hot water and circulates it in aclosed loop where it exchanges its heat with the coldwater of the pool.

The closed water loop of the boiler does not mix withthe water of the pool. Each circulates separately andthe exchange of heat is done by proximity in a heatexchanger.

Q: Why do I need a central heating system?Isn't Cairo a warm city?

Temperatures in Cairo are relatively moderatebecause it lies within the valley of the Nile at a lowaltitude close to sea level.

However temperatures in the new cities such as NewCairo, 6th of October, Shorouk and Obour which arebuilt on desert plateaus, high above sea level aresubstantially lower due to the high altitude and colddesert climate.

Over the last decade, people have been moving tothese new areas where temps can reach as low as4°C at night in winter.

YES. It will require between 5 and 7 panels along withsome peripheral equipment for an average size poolin a villa. If a boiler is already available, then all youneed is to add a heat exchanger.

Q: What is the life expectancy of these equipment?

Floor standing boilers typically live for 30-40 years,while wall hung boilers typically last for 10 years.Solar water heaters live for an average of 15-20 yearswhile the storage tanks typically last for 10 years.

Q: What is the difference between using radiators or an underfloor system to heat my home?

Not much. They both give the same result.Underfloor systems are used in large spaces whereplacing radiators is difficult.On the other hand radiators usually warm up theenvironment faster.

Q: Can the underfloor heating system leak and damage my home?

NO. The underfloor heatingpiping does not contain a singleconnection under the floor. It istherefore impossible for a pipeto leak once properly installedand pressurized.

The pipes used are multi-layered, produced by cross-linked polyethylene and laserwelded aluminum sheet. Theyare long lasting & corrosionproof.

Q: Are spare parts readily available for theseequipment?

YES. At Heatmaster, we carry in stock all needed spareparts in the unlikely event you should require anymaintenance or after sales service.

Q: How often do I need to maintain the system?

Not often at all. These systems run smoothly foryears and years. However, it is recommended to havean annual check-up on the system ahead of thewinter season.

Q: But isn't it expensive?

As an initial investment, it is higher than theconventional electrically operated systems. However,when you factor in the length of time it lasts and thesavings on operating costs, you will soon realize thatit is a worthwhile investment that will keep youpaying as little in electricity bills as possible for a verylong time.As an example, a solar water system has a paybackperiod of 4-5 years while it typically lives for 15 to 20years giving you 3 to 4 times its value in payback.

Q: What are the operational costs versus electricity costs?

With the cost of electricity continually on the rise, theoperational cost of a gas powered boiler is very lowcompared to the alternative. In fact, it is probably TENtimes less.

Q: How long is the warranty?

2 years is the standard warranty extended by Heatmaster on the system as a whole along with all theinstallation works. Over and above, the customer benefits from the manufacturer's warranty on itsproducts. For pipes it's 10 years, for boilers it's 3, for solar systems it's 10 years for the panel and 5 yearsfor the tank, for radiators it's 10 to 15 years, for storage tanks it's up to 5 years.

Q: How do I know that the system is properly installed?

In the first phase (piping installation) the network is pressurizedand delivered to the site manager until the time comes to installthe equipment and commission. At that time, the whole systemis commissioned and put into full operation before signing thehandover documents and delivering the warranty to thecustomer.
