Tesla Wall Connector itself does not measure current, for this a MID kWh-meter is needed. It can be supplied with Maxem.
Fusing charging station
Maxemisacontrolsystemthatregulatestheloadofthechargingstation.Therefore,itcan
be calculatedaccording to theNEN1010witha lowerequal time factor*.Maxemmakes
surethatthechargingstationislessloadedwhenthereismorechargeinthehouse.The
chargingstationcanthereforebefusedtoavaluehigherthannormal,butnothigherthan
thethresholdvalueofthemainpowersupplyterminal.

230V power supply from Maxem
Maxem measures the power supply as follows:
• Amperage:divisiblecurrentcoilsmeasurethecurrentthroughthephasewires.
• Voltage: internal voltmeter in Maxem with the voltage from the 230V power supply.
For a correctmeasurement it is necessary to know fromwhich phaseMaxem is fed. In
MaxemitisstandardlyinstalledthatthesupplyisonPhase1(L1).
02 - Connecting to power supply
ConnectthecablesplittertoMaxemportCT1,intendedforthemainpowersupply
terminal.
Option 3.1 - Connecting current coils to solar panels
Openthemeterboxusingintendedtools.
Click thesuppliedcurrentcoilsaround theL1phasewireof themainpowersupply
terminal. Connect this power supply coil to L1 of the cable splitter.
ConnectthecablesplittertoMaxemportCT2,intendedforthesolarpanels.
Turnoffthemainpowersupplyterminalofthefusebox.
03 - Connecting solar panels
RepeatthesestepsforL2andL3incaseofa3-phaseconnection.
ClickthesuppliedcurrentcoilsaroundtheL1phasewireofthesolarpanels.
ConnectthecurrentcoiltoL1ofthesuppliedcablesplitter.
RepeatthesestepsforL2andL3incaseofa3-phasesolarinverter.
Makesurethecurrentcoil(s)areconnectedintherightdirection.

After successful installation, Maxem sends a current limiting value to the charging station. In case of non-successful installation, this is not the case. This results in OVERLOAD OF THE POWER SUPPLY. Cohere should therefore always give OK for a successful installation.

Autoconfigurationisnotsuccessful
• RS485connectedchargingstation:controlwhethertheRJ10(4P4C)connectoriswell
crimpedintotheRSportofMaxem.SeeAnnex3howtocrimpRJconnectorsthebest.
• EthernetConnectedchargingstation:MakesurethatgreenandblinkingorangeLED
in the charging station are on for an active connection with Maxem. If this is not the
case,thereisapossibleerrorintheinstalledUTPcable.
• Restartthechargingstationbyputtingthevoltageoffandonagain.
• Makesurethecorrectfirmwareisplacedonthechargingstationandthatis
compatible with Maxem. An employee of Cohere can help.
Thechargingstationisnotdetectedornotcorrectlydetected
• TurnoffMaxem.Waitfor10seconds.
• Then turn on Maxem. If there is a charging station, switch the group of the charging
stationoffandonagain.Theautoconfigurationwillrunagain.

Annex 1 - Troubleshooting
Thecardoesnotstartduringcharging
• Performarebootofthegroupofthechargingstationinthemeterbox(turnoffthe
group,waitfor10seconds,andthenturnonthegroupagain).Makesurethatthe
chargingcableisnotconnectedtothecar.
• An authorization problem for ICU charging stations may occur, which prevents the
chargingstationfromgivinga“permission”tostartachargingsession.Anemployee
of Cohere can help.
The measurements of the power supply are not logical
• Incasethesolarpanelsareavailable,turnoffthegroup.
• Makesurethepowersupply(socket)ofMaxemisconnectedtoL1.
• Makesurethateachcurrentcoilisconnectedtothephasecorrespondingtothe
labels of the cable splitter.
• Makesurethecurrentcoilsaredirectedcorrectly.Thearrowonthecurrentcoil
followsthecurrentdirectionofthenettothegroupsofthehouse.
• MakesurethecablesplitterisconnectedtoMaxemCT1port.
