In collaboration with the Government of Assam and The
University of Melbourne, a cutting-edge professional course in
Construction Management has been developed at the Assam Engineering
College, under the leadership of Dr Atul Bora. Join us for the official
launch and a series of lectures covering core knowledge areas.
I N D U S T RY W O R K S H O PInterested stakeholders are invited
to explore opportunities for creating affordable, sustainable, context
specific housing in the Smart Village context. This hands-on workshop will
help define an appropriate house type and configuration, sufficiently
flexible to meet the future needs of Assamese villagers.
R E S E A R C H W O R K S H O PThis workshop provides an
overview of on-gong collaborative research between the
Government of Assam and The University of Melbourne. This research explores the socio-
economic and environmental characteristics of Assamese
villages as well as local capabilities, and resource availabilities, in order to build local capacity for
creating Smart Villages.
