Our Mission
Ada Jenkins Center 212 Gamble Street Davidson, NC 28036
Keys to Achieving our Mission
We seek to meet the immediate and long-term needs of those in our communities by utilizing a multi-pronged approach to service delivery. This is achieved by offering:
Crisis assistance through a collaborative, integrated center that ensures the availability of temporary, emergency, and transition support services that allow community members to survive during times of crisis Education, health, and economic independence programs that enable community members to obtain healthier lifestyles and the skills to attain greater self-sufficiency Referral to a network of collaborative partners outside of the Center for crisis assistance and/or developmental support beyond the scope of the Center.
How has Technology life changed at Ada Jenkins?
Executive Director and IT Manager attended the inaugural NTEN Technology Leadership Academy
Began utilizing some of the tools like Technology Capability-Maturity Assessment and incorporating new- found knowledge in our strategic planning
Participated as a fully-involved partner in the Board of Directors Strategic Planning Framework
Presented an IT overview to the Board that resulted in IT being recognized as a separate entity with a seat on the Executive Committee
Next steps: develop a 3-5 year plan to be presented to the entire Board before mid year
