Not only the jammed streets, noise and air pollution but also the pandemic of COVID-19 have considerably increased the demand for small vehicles of category „L“ which is also supported by the European Union in order to move the car drivers to the smaller and lighter electric vehicles (L6 max. 45km/h, 6kW or L7 max. 80k/h, 15 kW).

We had developed a simple ecological vehicle for the city which needs a minimum maintenance and has a minimum operation cost. The basic version is equipped only with the items necessary for driving and safety. For an easy and cheap production the body is made from light, firm and cheap thermoplastic, a light self-supporting chassis is made from the specially designed aluminium profiles and a honeycomb panel which absorbs an enormous quantity of kinetic energy. Due to the atypically slantwise allocated seats the length is only 2 500 mm which enables it to park perpendicularly to the pavement.

The Small Electric Vehicle for 2 persons features an attractive and atemporal modern body and has an unusually large boot (430 liters) for such a small vehicle. The delivery van derived from this basic version has a cargo compartment 900 liters. The vehicle is equipped with the original springing unit which functions concurrently as a shock absorber and a spring and eliminates an arm, a spring and a shock absorber. By the sophisticated design of the rubber spring it is achieved both a springing and a shock absorbing.

In order to decrease the production cost we have invented the vacuum pressing technology of production of the exterior and interior parts. Such produced parts are roboticly processed on the specially designed 5-axis CNC cutting machine. The parts of exterior and interior are sticked together and foamed in the special jigs in order to be very firm and strong at a low weight. The electric equipment (motors, battery, charger, BMS) have been projected and debugged by the experts form the Technical University in Liberec. A driving range 120 – 160 km with 16 kW battery is sufficient for the city operation and can be adjusted. Existing machinery enables a small-scale production but after launching the small electric vehicle on the market a robotic production line Industry 4.0 will be constructed applying already developed special technological units (the large dimension vacuum press, the complete set of molds of interior and exterior, the 5-axis CNC cutting machine, the sticking and foaming jigs, the PUR foaming machines and others).

Therefore, we are looking for and contacting potential investors for the construction of the 1st stage of the Joint-Venture plant in the Czech Republic with a production capacity of 2 400 vehicles yearly. There are also other business models in conside-ration such as licencing the technology or a construction of a plant in Asia. Bangla-desh in particular is an option because of the provided support for the construction of electromobile plants but the preference is given to the purely Czech plant producing purely Czech electric vehicles. Even in the case of J-V abroad Czech investors are prefered in order to promote the Czech brand.

The plant will be equipped by the technology exclusively developed for this purpose, which will considerably decrease CAPEX and OPEX to an amount below 200 mil. Czk (about USD 9 mil.) and will also shorten the payback period to 6 years.

The potential of Small electric vehicle will be used especially by distribution services (the pizza, the carriers), the post, the police, the administration (an advantage of easy parking, an unlimited entry to the centrum, a cheap operation due to the char-ging at own premises), the car-sharing, the car rent, the young who take advantage of the possibility to drive L6 vehicles from the age of 15, the seniors, the second family car for the shopping and to the work, a transport in the town instead of a public transportation.We aim at the market sector which is still with an exception (Renault Twizzy, Citroën Ami) out of the interest of big carmakers.

Operation cost of small electromobiles is very low. With an average consumption of the vehicle L6 50Wh/km and the cost of elektricity 0,211 EUR/kW comes out the price EUR 1,1/100km which represents considerable savings compared to the other types of vehicles. A lot of world metropolises prefer and support operation of the small electric vehicles (for example Amsterdam).

The small city electromobile has a precondition to become a symbol of indepen-dence for the young, an iconic fashion matter, a proof of the ecological behaviour of a company.The small city electromobile is the best solution for an individual city transport.
