Humble Beginnings in 1985 ‘Sports Master Australia Pty Ltd’ was formed by the Alenaddaf family due to the lack of quality martial arts equipment in the Australian market with the family having years of involvement in Karate the Sports Master was formed and we began manufacturing Australian-made Martial arts and Boxing equipment in Wollongong, NSW. Through hard work and constant innovation and development of new and associated product lines our business has grown rapidly. A market leader and the largest supplier of Martial Arts, Combat and Fitness equipment in Australia.

Heavy investment into infrastructure (Over 5500m2 of warehouse in Wollongong), effective supply chain management and new business direction in 2003 led to the transformation of the brand into its modern form “Sports Master Athletic International Pty Ltd” (SMAI). SMAI secured the approval and licencing rights to international regulatory bodies such as the “World Taekwondo Federation” approved products, “World Karate Federation” approved products and “International Judo Federation” approved products establising the SMAI brand on the international stage with an established sales network in over 50 countries internationally.

SMAI Blue Astro Turf is a high quality Turf suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. The high Yarn count means a very tight weave with minimal directional wear and tear even without the use of fillers suitable for running, fitness and sled use. 2.4 x 15m track is pre stitched with a centre White line (100mm wide) which is actually made from White PP yarn rather than being painted on which ensure that the lane marking will remain even under heavy use. the turf is cut to a perfect rectangle shape for easy and quick installation without specialised skills of knowledge required.

We do recommend that the turf be installed using Artificial Grass adhesive available from Flooring Supplies wholesalers or leading Hardware stores or through the services of a contracted flooring service or installer. You can add the rolls end to end or side by side to get your desired area covered if you are after a larger arrangement of more than 15m in length.

The 40mm SMAI Judo mat is essential for any serious MMA, Judo, Aikido, Hapkido or any other throwing Martial Arts competitor. To make these premium mats we have used a surface constructed of non-slip 1000 Denier Vinyl with Rip-Stop Nylon mesh backing. To prevent it from peeling like some of the inferior Chinese products out there in the marketplace, the material has been laminated to the reconstituted foam. Being made of 740gsm vinyl (28 ounce) ensures that the surface will not tear or scratch from things like toenails or footwear. The reconstituted foam density is a massive 230kg/cbm (14lb/cbft); making it soft enough to land on yet having a fast enough bounce back for more efficiency. Lastly the bottom surface has been fitted with an anti-skid, “high-grip cellular” base made from rubber, providing stability and giving you the confidence your mats aren’t going anywhere.

The 40mm SMAI Judo mats are available in a traditional non-slip tatami finish with a range of colours available including black, grey, red, blue, yellow and many more. A tatami pattern offers more grip helping with faster movements for better performance.

Why 40mm Judo mats?Sure the more traditional style Judo mats come at a price in comparison to the normal Jigsaw EVA mats; however there are several important reasons why. • Firstly EVA foam is a closed cell product meaning when impacted the air stays

inside the cells. Reconstituted foam is an open-cell product meaning when impacted the air escapes making for a soft landing while still keeping its shape.

The Latest SMAI Bushido mats have been ruffling some feathers in the flooring industry due to their new design that offers top of the range quality at an amazing price point. Our new design is covered in a non-slip 1000 Denier Vinyl with Rip-Stop Nylon mesh backing. To prevent it from peeling like some of the inferior products out there in the marketplace, the top vinyl textured surface is laminated to the XPE foam so it will never peel or bubble, the lamination process provides a permanent glue-free adhesion between the vinyl surface and the XPE sponge. Roll Out Mats 40mmWarranty:The SMAI Roll-Out mats are constructed of XPE foam (chemically cross-linked PE foam) with a PVC vinyl sur-face (1000 denier vinyl). The heavy duty vinyl is laminated down on to the XPE foam and will withstand normal abrasion that occurs in Martial Arts, MMA, combat/tactical training or gymnastics. It is not recommended to store or place any heavy or sharp items upon the mat as this may affect the surface or foam structure under-neath. The SMAI Roll-Out mats are lightweight enough to be rolled up by one person and depending on the length may require two people to carry (up to 25m). The XPE foam has water resistant characteristics how-ever we do not recommend to leave or store them in a wet area for a prolonged time. If your mats are exposed to water, dry them as soon as possible, this will prevent any mould or unnecessary damage to be caused to your mats and will ensure longevity for the life of your mat. If for some reason during the warranted period your Roll-out mats deteriorate abnormally, images of the proposed damage are required to be supplied for inspection. With these images SMAI will determine whether the damage is the cause of a manufacturing fault or misuse (in some cases SMAI may require the item to be returned for further inspection before a decision can be made). In the event the product damage is deemed to be caused by a manufactur-ing fault, a replacement of the damaged item will be supplied (shipping expenses will be at the cost of the customer). Damage caused by misuse will not be warranted, misuse would be anything considered (and not limited to) the following:

• Burns, cuts, accident, vandalism, abuse, negligence, sweat• Damage caused by incorrect installation• Use of incorrect chemicals or pesticides• Use of incorrect cleaning methods• Use of in-fill products of an incorrect grade or level• Normal wear and tear• Abrasions/ indentations due to use of inappropriate footwear or sports equipment

Maintenance and Care:The SMAI Roll-Out mats can easily be cleaned using a vacuum cleaner, finished with a damp mop using a PH Neutral detergent solution and should be done so every time after use. When joining your mats, make sure to use clean the area underneath and tape together to keep them in place. This will maintain the integrity of the edges and underside while avoiding injury at the same time. When packing away simply peel the tape off and carefully roll the mat from one end until it’s in a bundle. Where your store your roll out-mats has the potential to be the difference on how long it will last you, it is recommended to store in an area where will not become too cold or wet. When the mat is too cold it becomes brittle and can crack the surface, if its exposed to water for extended periods of time it can cause mould to develop. Never store heavy or sharp objects onto your mat as this may cause a permanent indentation, crack or tear.

Judo Mats 40mmWarranty:The SMAI Judo mats are constructed of 100% reconstituted foam with a PVC vinyl surface (1000 denier vinyl) and will withstand normal abrasion that occurs in Martial Arts, MMA, combat/tactical training or gymnastics. It is not recommended to store or place any heavy or sharp items upon the mat as this may affect the surface or foam structure underneath. To ensure you get the maximum life out of your judo mats it is recommended not to bend or fold the mat as this will affect the laminate between the PVC vinyl and foam inlay.
