SlimLine – a family of low voltage apparatusFAMILY PRESENTATIONSlimLine is a family of 3-pole and 4-pole switching devices in tier form for either horizontal or vertical installation in switchboards.

COMPACT DESIGNThe compact design of SlimLine offers a spacesaving solution for the end user. This results in a cost attractive switchboard system with a number of applications.

Fast plug on to busbarsEasy to install:

1. Plug the SR-M on to the busbars.

Facts about the SlimLine cassette• Available in 4 sizes:

• Supplied as a flat package without busbars• Easy and fast assembly using self tapping screws• For vertical or horizontal installation• Aluzinc coated profiles• Front profiles as well as top- and bottom plates are

IP 20 busbar cover kit• Kit with busbar covers for IP 20 degree of protection.

These can be snapped directly into the cassette.

Electronic fuse surveillanceIn each SlimLine equipped with fuse surveillance, all three fuses aremonitored and there are individual LED indicators in the front of the device.Up to 50 SR switching devices can be connected to a control relay MC 50.The MC 50 has a relay and transistor output, and is also the power supplyfor the electronics in the SR units.

Derating of SlimLine mounted in switchboardThe modules (E) of the switch-fuses in the switchboard are the basis for calculating the current carryingcapacity of each switch-fuse in many combinations in the switchboard. The modules of the switch-fuses are given below.

SR-M 63 A, 100 A, 160 A BS = 2 E (The modules (E) reflects howSR-M 250 A BS = 4 E much space one unit occupiesSR-M 400 A, 630 A BS = 8 E in the switchboard.)

The current carrying capacity is calculated in the following way:– The modules (E) of each switchboard are added.– This sum, multiplied with the diversity factory found in Table B gives the effective height (Heff).– Use the curves in chart A or B (depending on the IP factor of the switchboard) to determine the

current carrying capacity of the switch fuse.

The figures apply to a max average ambient air temperature during 24 hours of +35°C.When the ambient air temperature exceeds this limit, the current carrying capacity must be reducedaccording to Table A.

Example:The following switch-fuses are built into a switchboard.

= 60 E

With a diversity factor of 0,6, the total effective height Heff = 0.6 x 60 E = 36 E.Max. continuous current for each switch-fuse can be read from the chart for Heff = 36 E.
