Why UC Berkeley is the best for me?

Advantages that Would Only Apply to me One of the primary advantages that UC Berkeley has over other colleges is

the distance from LA. It’s not too close but it isn’t really far either. It gives me the ability to visit LA once a month and I don’t have to see my family everyday. Another advantage is that since UC Berkeley is inCalifornia I would pay (if I don’t get a scholarship)more if I wasn’t a California resident. Also UC Berkeley has a very extensive collection of artifacts and books that could be used or seen in their library which so universities may lack. Also another interesting advantage is that according to Akamai Technologies, a company which provides “distributed computing platform for global Internet content” and also collects internet data speeds across various cities world-wide, mentions UC Berkeley as one of the fastest places in US with 18.7 mbps.

Cost of Expense at UC Berkeley

These figures shows approximately what I would be spending each year for tuition, housing, food, books, transportation, and some extra things. UC Berkeley is actually cheaper then the tuition cost of UCLA which is $11,619 in comparison to $9,748 of UC Berkeley.

What Careers of My Interest are Offered?

One of the careers that I would like to pursue is engineering, specifically aerospace engineering but I would also consider the Nano engineering and computer engineering.

Another career they offer of my interest is the field of computers. I would like to study the science of computers and how the virtual universe functions.

What are the Rankings of UC Berkeley?

According to the US News UC Berkeley is ranked #3 in the Best Undergraduate Engineering Program and also ranked #1 in Public Schools.

It ranked as #5 in Undergraduate Computer Engineering as well as #1 in Graduate Computer Engineering in the US News.

Conclusion: If I going to go to computer engineering as my career then UC Berkeley is the best for me.

How good is there Basketball Program?

Basketball is an important part of my daily life so knowing how good my future school’s team is important

UC Berkeley was able to win a national championship which gives a statement of how good there Basketball program is.

They have had about 5 successful NBA players and that just proves how they also help out there players become the best. Currently the Bears are with 15 Pac-10 conference championship

Goals I Can Accomplish

One of the primary goals I need is to graduate high school in order to go to college. I hope I can finish high school with a least a 3.8 GPA and with and an resume filled with extracurricular activates.

I also hope to accomplish college recognition in basketball so that I can get recruited and have all expenses paid.

If I’m not able to get an athletic scholarship then I hope to get an academic scholarship.

Once I get to college I want to accomplish my dream of begin an aerospace engineer and being able to help design a spacecraft.

I think the biggest goal I wish to accomplish is to begin able to play college basketball.

Conclusion

I think UC Berkeley offers a lot advantages that could only be interesting to me that’s why it perfectly fits my taste. It provides me with the possibility of going to San Francisco and Oakland.It also provides me the possibility to come home at least once every month. It has a beautiful campus. I have many goals That I know going to this School will let me do. WhenI go to apply for a job at Boeing they will be able to See that I am a graduate from UC Berkeley and will Realize I was taught by one of the best engineering school in the US.
