Liu, 2005; Liu, Magjuka, Bonk, and Lee, 2007).

By creating online social communities creates anencouraging environment of shared activities that results in deeper learning, higher final course grades, and successful online courses.

Psychological Distance or Lack of Community in OL Environment

To enhance interpersonal and classroom community, online instructors and students often work hard to become acquainted with each other by means of text-based content. However, these interactions may focus primarily on academic content and not as much on meaningful, interpersonal connections.

What is the “BEST PRACTICES”

that we can consider to apply for Bachelor of

Nursing Science (Hons) as one of the online courses in

OUM?

According to Meyers, 2008, online courses create unique environments that require thoughtful care for instructors to help students become engaged in their learning and to design virtual classrooms that enhance a sense of community.

Ravenscroft & Cook (2005) and Liu et al. (2007) posited that online student collaboration providesopportunities for students to realise their potential through meaningful engagement, which may ultimately increase student persistence rates in education.

• Mobile learning is a method of learning accomplish with small and portable devices , enables learners to learn anything, at any place and any time they needed knowledge – perfect delivery vehicle for learning in near future (Clark, 2007).

• According to Syah (2009) cell phone SMS are software applications that lets one get in touch with other SMS users via short text messages. Messaging is becoming a common features of mobile phone nowadays.
