Help sheet for teachers wanting to use Slideshare with Blogger.TRANSCRIPT
Using slideshare with your blog
1. Start by going to the slidesharewebsite at the following address: http://www.slideshare.net/
2. Click on the Signup link on the top right hand corner of the page.
3. The account creation page will appear. Fill out the necessary fields. Under account type you may choose to select School/University.
4. You may use your CFISD email address or your personal email. Your choice.

5. Once the form has been completed you may start using Slideshare right away.
6. Select the Upload button in the menu bar.
7. This will take you to the upload page. Click the large orange upload button.
8. A new window will open in order for you to locate and select your file for upload. Slideshare does allow for multiple file sectional to save time.

A: The title of the file selected will appear here as indicated.B: Enter the title of the file as you wish for it to appear to viewers.C: Tags are search labels that will make find your presentation easier for your viewers. This is
optional.D: From the drop down list select the most appropriated category such as Education. E: By selecting this box students will be able to download your presentation for reference.F: This drop down menu has two choices Public or Private. Public also other users to view this
presentation. Private is best selected when the presentation is still a work in progress. G: This will delete the file.H: Be sure to click on the saved details button in order to save the information you have entered.I: You may opt to write a short description for viewers on the contents of this presentation.

9. Once the file has been successfully uploaded you my visit the My Upload page to view all your files.
10. Select the file you wish to share on Blogger.
11. Select the Embed button directly above the file preview window. This will provide the embedding code needed to embed your presentation into Blogger.

12. Select the embedding code. Be sure to select ALL of the code.
13. Then copy right-click and select copy the code or select control C on your keyboard.
14. Return to you Blogger page. Create a new posting. Select the Edit HTML tab.
15. Paste the embedding code in the space provided. Right-click select paste or control V on your keyboard.
16. You may select Preview to preview the page or select Publish if you are finished.
