How to Access SuccessFactors

SuccessFactors is a web-based system.

Log in from myJohnsHopkins portal.

Click the HR icon.Select SuccessFactors.

SuccessFactors utilizes single sign-on.

Overview of Homepage Dashboards

Dashboards are located at the bottom of your SuccessFactors homepage.

Dashboards display the current status of myPerformance metrics.

Dashboards provides a view of metrics for your direct reports, as well as any level going down in your reporting structure.

Dashboards are available to all Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) managers and those managing JHHS employees.

Available DashboardsFY15 Performance Form Status: Depicts the number of employees in each stage of the FY15 annual performance evaluation. Only applies to the pilot group (JHHC, JHCP, and JHHCG).

FY16 Performance Goal Distribution: Depicts the number of FY16 performance goals for each employee, most importantly those with no goals at all.

FY16 Development Goal Distribution: Depicts the number of FY16 development goals for each employee, most importantly those with no goals at all.

FY16 Performance Goal Status: Depicts the number of goals in each status. Status types include: Not Started, Not on Track, On Track, Complete, Canceled, Reassigned, and Not Met.

Accessing Dashboards

Click on the graph portion of the dashboard you wish to access. The full-sized dashboard will open.

Click on the individual bar in the graph to drill-down to a list of employees. The list will appear below the graph.

Applying Filters

Click on the graph portion of the dashboard. The full-sized dashboard will open.

Click Filters in the upper-right corner to open the selection screen.

Do not change the “Report Type” and “Starting From” drop-downs.

Adjust the level by selecting from the “All Levels” drop-down. Direct Report is the level of employee reporting directly to you.

The dashboard filter allows you to select detailed portions of your results, and view all levels of your reporting structure.

Applying Filters continued

The Data Set filter defines which performance evaluation form is included in dashboard results. This should not be changed.

The filters options allow you to filter your dashboard by Personnel Area, Organizational Unit, Entity, Job Group, Employee Group, etc.

Once all filters are selected, click Apply Filters.

Exporting to ExcelOnce the filters have been applied, the results can be exported to Excel.

Click on a section of the graph to drill-down to a list of employees, or click Select All to drill-down to all target employees.

To view the list as a spreadsheet, export the results to Excel. Click the Excel button above the list of employees.

The results will download to an Excel file that can be saved or printed.

Standard myPerformance Reports

All JHHS managers have access to run standard myPerformance reports for employees in their reporting structure.

These reports are standard SuccessFactors reports. Not all reports are applicable to JHHS business processes.

The Goal Plan Summary report and the Form List report are the most useful standard system reports.

Goal Plan Summary Report: Use this report to view the total weight and number of performance goals per employee. *Note: Performance goals must have a total weight of 100%*Form List Report: This report shows the status and progress of performance evaluations forms, such as the number of completed forms and overdue forms. This report also allows direct view access to the evaluation form before it has been routed to the manager.

Conclusion

The homepage dashboards are found at the bottom of your SuccessFactors homepage.The dashboards are available to all JHHS managers and those who manage JHHS employees.The dashboards provides select myPerformance metrics for your direct reports and any level down in your reporting structure. SuccessFactors provides standard system reports. These reports are made available to all managers. The most useful reports are the Goal Plan Summary report and the Form List report.
