Do you think sleeve gastrectomy has impact on DM ?!?!
Quasi-experimental study including all available patients (315) who have undergone sleeve gastrectomy operation at a specialized surgical center between June 2011 and October 2014.
Patients were followed up to 6 months and excess weight, anthropometric measurements and glycosylated hemoglobin were documented.

Conclusions:
In obese patients with diabetes mellitus , 6 months follow up after sleeve gastrectomy achieved glycemic control and significant weight loss
We help our patients to control obesity and diabetes but not cure them
