The cost of the tour is $1,500 * per person with two people sharing a room.  

Single person supplement is an additional $315.

Tour begins April 5, 2013 in the morning at Dublin Airport and ends April 12, 2013 at Dublin Airport. Payments will be taken via our partners, Discover Ireland Tours in County Cork Ireland. A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking with the remainder due 30 days before the tour begins. Air transportation is not provided and it is the responsibility of the purchaser to book his/her own flight and to ensure the flight arrives in Dublin in the early morning of April 5, 2013. Seating is strictly limited to 27 participants.

Day 1  Meet our Driver‐Guide in the Arrivals Hall at 

Dublin Airport. Morning arrival in Dublin Airport  

  Depart for Galway on our luxury coach with a breakfast stop in between.  

   

 Drop off your bags and explore Galway City, known as the “City of the Tribes” (hotel check in is 2 PM)   Dinner and Overnight in Imperial Hotel Galway Eyre Square in the heart of Galway City.   Pub Suggestion:  Take a ramble down Quay Street with its many great pubs including “The Quays” and “Ti Neachtain” a town house which belonged to “Humanity Dick”, an 18th –century MP who promoted laws against cruelty to animals.)  Breakfast and Dinner Included  

Day 2  Visit to Kylemore AbbeyKylemore Abbey's greatest attraction is its location. Nestled at the base of Duchruach Mountain on the northern shore of Lough Pollacappul, in the heart of the Connemara Mountains, it is regarded as one of Ireland's most romantic buildings. 

Tour of Connemara via Oughterard, Maam Cross and Recess before travelling up the spectacular Inagh valley to Leenane    

 

Travel on via Letterfrack and Connemara National Park to Clifden Free time in Clifden and you might want to have a pint in Griffin’s Pub on Main Street  Return to Galway  Dinner and Overnight in Imperial Hotel Galway (3 star hotel on Eyre Square)  Pub Suggestion:  Tig Coili – famous for its music sessions  Continental Breakfast and Dinner Included

Day 3  Travel down the Atlantic seaboard via Galway Bay and Ballyvaughan to Dunguaire Castle at Kinvarra. Depart for Killarney via the Atlantic 

west coast of Clare  See The Burren (Gaelic for rocky land) and visit the dramatic 650ft Cliffs of Moher  

 

Visit the beautiful thatched village of Adare Continue on to Killarney  Dinner and Overnight in Killarney Towers Hotel (4 star town centre hotel)  Pub Suggestion:  This evening you will have many choices for pubs to visit. Many will have traditional Irish music sessions in full swing and The Laurels Pub on Main Street is a good place to start  Continental Breakfast and Dinner Included  

Day 4  Tour the Ring of Kerry via Killorglin, Glenbeigh, Cahersiveen, Waterville, Coomakesta Pass with it magnificent views over Derrynane, home of Daniel O’ Connell, known as “The Liberator.”  

Travel to Killarney via the Ring of Kerry  

 

 Stop in Caherdaniel where you will have a 2 course lunch and a pint in the The Blind Piper Pub.  We will continue on to the neighbouring hamlet of Castlecove where you will have a pint in The Staigue Fort Pub, before travelling to the lovely village of Sneem to enjoy a pint in D. O’ Shea’s Pub, before returning to Killarney via Moll’s Gap, Ladies View, Killarney National Park and along the Lakes of Killarney.  Dinner and Overnight in Killarney Towers Hotel (4 star town centre hotel)  Breakfast and Dinner Included

Day 5  Pass over the Cork/Kerry Mountains via the Irish speaking villages of Ballymakeery and Ballyvourney to the old market town of Macroom, where you will see Macroom Castle, once home of Sir William Penn, whose son was later to found the state of Pennsylvania.  

Depart for Cork via Cork and Tipperary  

 

Travel on to the village of Blarney via the valley of the river Lee Visit Blarney Castle and opportunity for shopping at Blarney Woollen Mills Visit the Old Midleton Distillery for an Irish whiskey tasting Dinner and Overnight in Imperial Hotel Cork (4 star city centre hotel) (Pub Suggestion: This evening you will be once again have many choices for choice for pubs to visit. Just around the corner from your hotel are two of the best – Counihan’s and Clancy’s)  Breakfast and Dinner Included  

 

Day 6  Visit The Rock of Cashel. This was the seat of kings and mediaeval Bishops for 900 years and flourished until the early 17th century. Brian Ború was crowned King of Munster here in 977 and he became High King of Ireland in 1002. 

Depart for Dublin via Tipperary and Kildare 

 

 

Visit the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens  This is a state – run bloodstock farm, which was founded in 1900 by an eccentric Anglo – Irish Colonel called William Walker. On finishing the tour of the stud farm take a walk through the Japanese Gardens, which were laid out in 1906 to represent the “Life of Man.” Continue on to Dublin Dinner and Overnight in Wynn's Hotel (3 star city centre hotel) (Pub Suggestion: In a word – Templebar which is only a short stroll from Wynn’s Hotel)      Breakfast and Dinner Included

Day 7 Dublin City Tour.  

 

Depart on a guided tour of Dublin city including visits to St. Patrick's Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral where the remains of the Anglo‐Norman conqueror of Dublin, Strongbow are buried and Trinity College, home to the Book of Kells. Our tour will include many of the city’s finest 18th century Georgian terraces and squares including Merrion Square, Dublin’s largest and grandest Georgian square Visit the Guinness Storehouse at St. James Gate and enjoy a pint of Guinness in the Sky Bar (The Sky Bar is located in at the top of a glass tower that commands spectacular views of Dublin City and County in every direction. Dinner and Overnight in Wynn's Hotel (3 star city centre hotel)       Breakfast and Dinner Included  

Day 8 Depart  

 

Transfer to Dublin Airport Depart on return flight home
