Music Targets “I Can” Statements Evidence: How I achieved this?Play and perform in solo and ensemble contexts

I can sing in the Gospel Choir confidently

I achieved this by practising with a group and by learning the songs of by heart.

I can sing solos confidently  I can sing solo's confidently because I am influenced by the other children singing solo's.

Use voices and instruments with increasing accuracy, fluency, control, expression

I can do actions in time with the songs that we sing

I can do the actions with the songs because I move at the same time of the music and the beat.

I can sing sensitively, paying attention to volume, and the style of music

I know when to sing loud and quiet because the teacher gives me signs and I practice alot.

I can tell whether my voice is a “Soprano” or “Alto

I can tell my voice is soprano because I can sing high pitches proppley and I sing high pitches in choir with a group.

Improvise and compose music for a arrange of purposes using the inter-related dimensions of music

I can compose music using live instruments and technology

I can make music online with Soundation and with charanga music world.

I can improvise a drum kit accompaniment to a piece of hip hop music

We used the iPads to improvise music to a hip hop song and we have used the african drums.

I can create sound effects to create a particular mood for a song

I can do this by adding sound effects to my music.

Listen with attention to detail and recall sounds with increasing aural memory

I can sing and remember harmony parts confidently in a choir

I can remember the harmony`sbecause I listen to the CD and I practise.

I memorized all the songs in the school choir performance and some gospel songs.

I can remember all of the words to the songs

Use and understand staff and other musical notations

I understand and can compose using visual notation

Appreciate and understand a wide range of live and recorded music drawn from different traditions and from great composers and musicians

I can describe the sounds in a composition

I can describe the form and structure of a composition

Targets “I Can Statements”

Evidence: How have I achieved this?

Other things that I can do

Other things that I would like to do

The thing I would like to learn would be to save videos to the computer and to learn how to play piano.

WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER4 March?

• Today I have learnt how to make music on windows movie maker and how to get the music at the same time as the real music. I have also learnt how to import music to a timeline that was on windows movie maker and I also learnt how to save my project

Singing inspiration4 March

• Yesterday we went to the royal festival hall (Capital letters) and we sang with so many different schools and we had parts to sing there was people singing very low, people singing high, and people sing middle. I would say I improved by moving more and I learnt more of the words and I think I have gone higher than I have before. yesterday was the experience we have ever had although we had to stand up for so long and had lunch late we still enjoyed our self. we even saw miss lackushum are old TA our singing got called really good and we moved more to the music in TIME because we was getting videoed I have learnt so much about singing.

Mr Salazar’s Comments 4 March

• Skye, thank you for working on your Movie Maker project. Could you add the movie to the powerpoint?

• Thank you for writing about your experience in Sing Inspiration. I need you to look back through the slide and add punctuation and capital letters. You didn’t put any full stops in the paragraph, so it is like one long sentence. I marked a few of the errors, but there are more that you will need to find and correct.
