Key words: Code mixing, Transcript, Breakout program
Language is an important thing instrument that is used all the people in
this world to communicate with other. Without it, language will not people will
not to communicate well with other. The function of the language is a tool of
communication. This research discusses thecode mixing found in Breakout
program transcript on Net.
This research aimed to find out the types of code mixing and forms of
code mixing. This research focused on code mixing used by the hosts on breakout
program on net. Hoffman’s theory (1991) and Suwito’s theory (1983) are used to
find out types and forms of code mixing.
The data then were analyzed using qualitative method. The writer used the
video on breakout program entitled Keseruan Vidi Aldiano Berbagi Cerita di
Breakout as the main material to get the data. The finding showed that there were
100 data appears of types of code mixing and there were 62 data appears of forms
of code mixing.
The writer found the data that there were three types of code mixing used
by the hosts were intra lexical code mixing, intra sentential code mixing and
involving of a change pronunciation. There were also five forms of code mixing
used by the hosts were word, phrase, clause, baster, reduplication.
The writer concluded that the most dominant types of code mixing is intra
sentential code mixing and the most dominant of forms of code mixing is word.
The witer also gave suggestion for the next writer and for the reader, hopefully
this reasearch can be as learning and also as reference.

Bahasa adalah instrumen hal penting yang digunakan semua orang di
dunia ini untuk berkomunikasi dengan orang lain. Tanpa itu, bahasa tidak akan
membuat orang tidak akan berkomunikasi dengan baik dengan orang lain. Fungsi
bahasa adalah alat komunikasi. Penelitian ini membahas pencampuran kode yang
ditemukan dalam transkrip program Breakout di Net.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis pencampuran kode
dan bentuk-bentuk pencampuran kode. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pencampuran
kode yang digunakan oleh host pada program breakout di internet. Teori Hoffman
(1991) dan teori Suwito (1983) digunakan untuk mengetahui jenis dan bentuk
pencampuran kode.
Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penulis
menggunakan video pada program breakout berjudul Keseruan Vidi Aldiano
Berbagi Cerita di Breakout sebagai bahan utama untuk mendapatkan data.
Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ada 100 data muncul dari jenis pencampuran kode
dan ada 62 data muncul dari bentuk pencampuran kode.
Penulis menemukan data bahwa ada tiga jenis pencampuran kode yang
digunakan oleh tuan rumah adalah pencampuran kode intra leksikal, pencampuran
kode intra sentensial dan melibatkan perubahan pengucapan. Ada juga lima
bentuk pencampuran kode yang digunakan oleh tuan rumah adalah kata, frasa,
klausa, baster, reduplikasi.
Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa jenis pencampuran kode yang paling
dominan adalah pencampuran kode intra sentensial dan bentuk pencampuran kode
yang paling dominan adalah kata. Penulis juga memberikan saran untuk penulis
selanjutnya dan untuk pembaca, semoga penelitian ini dapat menjadi
pembelajaran dan juga referensi.
