History Of Skoda Skoda Auto an automobile manufacturer is

based in the Czech Republic.

It was 1894, 26-year old Vaclav Klement, a bookseller and Vaclav Laurin opened a bicycle repair shop in 1895 in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic.

Before going into business partnership with Klement, Laurin was established as a bicycle manufacturer in the nearby town of Turnov.

In 2000, Skoda Auto became wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Group.

After World War I the Laurin-Klement company began producing trucks, but in 1924, after running into problems and being hit by a fire, the company sought a partner, and was acquired by Skoda Works.

Skoda Works an arms manufacturer which had become a multi-sector concern and the biggest industrial enterprise in Czechoslovakia.

Skoda Works was Established in 1859.

The 1st Laurin & Klement automobile, the Voiturette A was a full success, later becoming the archetype of Czech automobile classic

However it did not make an impact on the Indian market

Skoda India launched the latest version of Fabia in 2007.

Couldn't live up to the hype created by the previous generation Octavia.

Fabia has not succeeded in this market due to dealer problems, steep prices and Skoda trying to position itself as a luxury marquee.

Also in the competition sector Hyundai i20 ,Maruti Suzuki Swift and Ritz were way ahead of their sales than Skoda fabia.
