In the media Industry the producer has the overall control in every aspect of film productions, they are responsible for bringing the crew members together and creating an environment where the crews and cast can work together and flourish. During post production, Producers are expected to liaise with the Director and post production department. The Producer will deal with the finance and distribution companies in planning the marketing and distribution of the finished film. WHY THIS PERSON HAS BEEN CHOSE TO BE THE PRODUCERS.In my production team I have been chosen to be the producer this is because I have the most excellent communication skills and also well organised with documents and gets the work done on time and also because I meet most of the skill requirements for a producer and the another major reason why I was chose was because I have a good sense of business and a have a good understanding of finances. For the time my production team will be together I am responsible for the roles of and responsibilities of the producer.

DIRECTOR: Ugonna Emenike

WHAT DOES THE DIRECTOR DO?Directors are responsible for making and transforming the written script of the film into visual images and sounds on screen, they are also responsible for the films artistic nature it is based on him if the films artistic nature is a success or a failure. During pre-production he is responsible for the writing and lining of the script, they are also tasked with selecting the right crew and cast and also responsible for sourcing locations that he thinks are suitable for the film idea. They also handle technical aspects of the film such as camera, sound, lightning, and special effects. At all stages of production the director is responsible for the motivation of the crew and cast to produce work at the best of their ability.During the post production stages the director works with the editors through various technical processes of editing in other to reach the final and suitable version of the film that is been produced. The director always need to be aware of the production budget so that he doesn’t get locations and personals that are above the productions budget.

WHY THIS PERSON HAS BEEN CHOSE TO BE THE DIRECTOR.Ugo has been given the role of the director in my production team because he has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and most importantly he has an extensive understanding of the entire filmmaking process, from both technical and creative point of view and his the most artistic personnel in the group when it comes to film making.He also pays attention to details and can work and think brilliantly under pressure and has the determination and self believe of success. Also the short film we are filming is his idea and he is the right person to right the script and source locations as he can visualise the idea more than any of us.

PHOTOGRAOHY/CAMERAOPERATOR: TAMAIRA LYNCHWHAT DOES THE DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY DO?Director of photography are important heads of film productions and they have one of the major creative roles they are required to provide the film with a unique visual look. Director of photography’s must understand the photographic importance of a screenplay, they must be able to use various types and source of materials and skills which include still photography and painting they also need the ability to have an artistic mind, they are also tasked with the ability of creating the best and the right look using the correct lightning, framing and camera movements.During filming the director of photography/ camera operator is in charge of the camera and works with the director to visualise, film and produce the concept idea of the film to the viewers.

WHY THIS PERSON HAS BEEN CHOSEN TO TAKE THIS ROLE.In my production team Tamaira has the best ability when it comes to camera work she is good at filming and framing shots in artistic ways, she is also good at working and taking orders from people, she has a very good artistic vision and can be very creative. precise attention to details and also has good colour vision she also has excellent communication skills her work on the camera is great and she can be very diplomatic and tactful when working in a group and in this case she will be working with a cast and crew.As I mentioned earlier she is a natural artist and knows quite a lot about photography, painting and moving objects she knows how to use certain equipment’s properly such as the camera and Photoshop for the story board.

ASSISTANT PRODUCER: Dejhenea GregoryWHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE ASSISTANT PRODUCER?The assistant producer or Junior producer is there to help the producer out, the assistant producers job is determined by the producer because they have the same nature of jobs so it depends on what the producer delegate’s to the assistant that will be the assistants job for example in my production team Dejhenea is the assistant producer and she has been tasked by the producer to take care of budget and the hiring of crews and personnel’s, therefore she is in charge of does roles other jobs can still be delegated to her by the producer.

WHY SHE WAS GIVEN THE ROLE.Dejhenea was given the role of the assistant producers because she can be able to learn new skills quickly and professes high levels of self-motivation and confidence in dealing with complex situations, she also can plan ahead, set objectives and prioritise, she also has good management skills, also she

hardly sees the script writer or the director but they are more conversant with the actors and their works will be judged by the performances of the actors on screen.For the specifics roles that they are asked to portray they will have to carry extended research about that role and work with the director in other to get the role correct.

WHY THESE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CHOSEN.The two actors were chosen by me as it was my job to do so, I chose these two actors because I am very familiar with their work and they work really well together, they know how tom prepare for and perform at auditions and casting sessions so well and have clear concise dictation and can assume different regional and national accents they can also be very uninhibited in order to assume other identities and also be made up and dressed, position and directed by others. They were also chosen based on their performances during the auditions that were held on the 20th of February 2016 they stood out as they shined with potential and great talent.
