Key Attributes

AnutoneSkelet T24 is an exposed T-grid system for ceilingsdesigned to meet the stringent requirements of today’sdemanding construction industry. The system providesstrong structural stability, versatility and ease of installation.

AnutoneSkelet T24 is made from high strength, hot dippedgalvanized steel as per BS 2989 with 120 gms zerospangle zinc coating. The exposed flange is capped with25 microns prepainted metal.

Aesthetics

AnutoneSkelet T24 is structural sheet metal. Standardcolours are of bright steel with the exposed flange cappingin Global White or Mat Black.

The integral end splices are joggled and feature a uniquefire expansion relief. The aesthetics is of neat, sharp, true,straight and square grid lines.

Design Consideration

AnutoneSkelet T24 grids must be designed from the centreof the space and residual grids on the perimeter must bedivided equally. Ceiling fixures like HVAC diffusers,luminaires must be individually suspended from the roofand not weight-loaded on AnutoneSkelet T24.

AnutoneSkelet T24 is formed on continuous CNCproduction lines as per BS 2994.AnutoneSkelet T24 ceiling suspension systems eliminatethe most persistent plasterboard ceiling problems ofbuckling.HVAC, lighting and other modular accessories may be easilyboxed.AnutoneSkelet T24 is easy to install, flexible in use andaestically enhancing. Long ceiling spans can beaccommodated, where services do not allow for regularceiling suspension fixing points.The system allows for easy mounting of ceiling tiles.

• AnutoneSkelet T24 has to be installed as per ASTM C636 and/or BS 8290.

• Maintain 75mm minimum clearance below the lowest HVAC duct / RCC beam / otherobstruction apart from the plenum airgap required for sound absorption while establishingthe ceiling height and level.

• Determine position of main tees and mark with chalkstring or laser.

• A recommended maximum distance between suspenders is 1200mm and 300mm from themain tee splices.

• The ceiling should be preferably set out from the centre to secure balanced width of acoustical tiles at perimeter.

• The main tees to be suspended from overhead construction by means of cleats and GI rods or GI wire.

• The cross tees are inserted into the slots of main tees and locked in position by a slight forward and downward pressure.Installation of cross tees shall be in accordance with the drawing of 600mm or 1200mm centres.

• Periodically check for alignment - level and squareness.

• Services like HVAC, lighting, loudspeakers, wireless antenna, fire-safety devices are simultaneously installed by others,heavy devices being independently supported.

• Tiles like MAT Vin, SubTex, SoundSergeare then laid in position.

Installation Guidelines

Site Considerations

AnutoneSkelet T24 cartons must be stored in a dry place.The long ends must be fragile protected till installation toensure the end-tabs are not dented. Dented end-tabs willnot lock in position during installation. Once unpacked,AnutoneSkelet T24 must be installed with fragile care toavoid scratches or dents to the flange capping. Theinstallation should only be carried out when temperatureand humidity levels are comparable to conditions whenthe building is occupied. It is recommended to wait untilthe fixing of windows and doors has been completed.

Warranty

10 years AnutoneSurety - limited warranty - on theapplication of AnutoneSkelet T24 when installed toAnutone’s specifications and maintained as perinstructions.

Acoustical Parameters

AnutoneSkelet T24, is a skeletal framework, on which ceilingtiles or panels are laid in. Acoustical parameters of testing andmeasurements do not apply. However, AnutoneSkelet T24 istuned to ensure no low frequency induced ‘tingling’ sound.

As a versatile alternative to conventional suspended gridsystems, Anutone and Chicago Metallic has developedthe AnutoneSkelet U15 ceiling system.

AnutoneSkelet U15 is a lay-in suspension system with aprepainted, slender, exposed T-shaped profile and comewith a 6mm recess giving a delicate finished appearance.
