FAQs

St. Joseph Parish School Plan to Return to On Campus Learning

Are masks mandatory? Yes, in accordance with CDC (Center for Disease Control) guidelines and

recommendations. There will be some opportunities for students to remove

masks throughout the day while still maintaining proper social distancing

protocol.

Do masks have to be purchased from Dennis Uniforms?

No, as long as masks fully cover the mouth, nose, and fits snugly against the

side of the face. Masks must be appropriate and may not reflect anything

contrary to the mission of the school. Students are required to have an extra

mask in their classroom at all times.

I’ve purchased the required uniforms, but they are on backorder. What if they don’t arrive in time for the first day of school?

There will be a grace period until all back ordered items are received. Dennis

Uniform will keep us updated on any missing or delayed items. Students may

attend school dressed according to the school dress code as closely as possi-

ble until all items are received.

When will Before and After School Extended Care Services resume?

With safety and health as priority, we will continue to monitor local and state

guidelines, our school environment, and the logistics of the Extended Care

Services. Hopefully, we will resume services in 2-3 weeks.

Reflection:

The kingdom of God is apparently not discovered after a frantic search. The laborer and the merchant made their discovery ra-ther per accident while going about their usual work or business. Discovering the kingdom of heaven is not a reward of human ef-fort and a painstaking search. It is a gift from God to people in their normal daily activities. People in Palestine had been the victims of many wars. When they evacuated during an invasion or were occupied by an ene-my, they buried their valuables in the ground for safekeeping. Sometimes they got killed and the treasure was forgotten till somebody discovered it by accident. In the parable, the laborer is not the owner of the field but he knows the value of the cache. He buries it again and is already full of joy for he hit the jackpot. He sells all he has to buy the field and take possession of the treas-ure. The buyer of the field just chances on his treasure. He paid for it dearly by selling everything. He sold all he has to get his treasure. The pearl merchant was always on the look-out for the authentic pearl. He worked at it almost for a lifetime. All his pos-sessions were junk to him compared to the highly priced pearl.
