Sixth Form Students of the Week Huge thanks to Phoebe Robichaud-Gavin and Hayley Sasserath who volunteered to speak at our Work Experience information evening and did such a brilliant job. Year 12 Work Experience Parent Information Evening

Many thanks to parents who attended the Work Experience Information Evening this week. If you were unable to attend, a copy of the presentation can be found under the sixth form section of the school bulletin. The Work Experience pack for parents and students includes useful website links, placement forms, the parent permission form and a template that students may like to use as a letter of enquiry to employers. Follow the link under the sixth form section of the school bulletin to access all documents. Work experience week is Monday 16 July to Friday 20 July but if your son/daughter finds a meaningful and relevant placement that is only available at a different time, we will be happy to authorise their absence if appropriate. Work experience has been on the Year 12 programme as an enrichment activity for many years with more and more students taking up this opportunity to experience a career of interest to them and which will enhance their applications for university, apprenticeships and employment. For adults, networking is a familiar and often productive method of finding employment, and this is relevant to students looking for placements too. If you are able to offer work experience through your own business or employer, please let us know by contacting Mrs Cooper.
