Welcome and thank you for taking the time to look over our special offering. The Focused On Female sale is simply a reflection of our breeding philosophy as our program has always been centered on producing the best Angus females possible. You have to understand that raising top quality cattle is ALL WE DO. We have no other income whatsoever, so we have to make sure that every animal we raise and use is going to work for us both functionally and financially – so you can see that we take it very seriously. But this is a big bonus for you because you can be assured that the genetics you purchase from us are geared to improve your bottom line as well.

This hand selected offering is full of breed leading genetics that are born and bred for profit. Right from the Lot 1 Proven Donor Herd Matron to the fancy, show prospect heifer calves, the quality is top notch. You can see that there are many choice lots in the sale, as we wanted to offer our very best.

We have had a great year. At the 2011 Canadian National Angus show we not only won Grand Champion Red Angus Female but also took home the Grand Champion Black Angus Female banner as well. Both of those females went on to make the prestigious top ten at Agribition’s RBC Beef Supreme Challenge. We

kicked off 2012 with an amazing showing at the Denver U.S. National show being honored to win the Red Angus Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor Awards. Females such as the ones offered in this sale, helped us win that honor. The U.S.

National Champion Female and Reserve National Champion Bull were raised here at Six Mile and many division and class winners also carried the Six Mile name. We are very proud of that and congratulate the progressive breeders that had success with our genetics.

We love showing cattle! Even our home loving, cowboy, Clayton has become fond of this form of advertising – (even though I think you would be hard pressed to hear him admit that). We love the people we meet, the incredible cattle we see, the thrill of competition, the camaraderie among breeders and most importantly it is something we can do as a family. Even if our middle son Cade is committed to becoming our hospitality specialist rather than cattle fitter! We work as a family on the ranch and every single member is an integral part of Six Mile.

We just want to make one thing clear... At Six Mile there is absolutely no difference between show cattle and breeding cattle. The only difference is that the ones that get chosen to go to shows get more groceries, and more attention to hair care! That is it – plain and simple. If the females we showed did not come home and make good productive mother cows (and most often future donors), we would be broke in no time. And when they come home from the show, they are kicked out with the rest of our herd and expected to maintain condition and produce or they will be quickly culled from our program. We have no time for bad uddered, hard doing, unfertile,

hard calving females that cannot raise above average progeny. There are simply too many good Angus cows in our herd to put up with that. The idea of raising cattle just for a show is simply ridiculous. And we have so many examples of females that we have shown right from

heifer calves up to mother cows - who are now producing sale topping, super productive progeny in our herd.

All heifer calves will be halter broke for your convenience. Many are excellent junior show heifer prospects and we offer a great incentive program for young juniors purchasing Six Mile Females. See the inside back cover for more information.

Our Bull Sale was an overwhelming success with many of those top end, high selling bulls servicing the females in this offering – giving you a unique opportunity to get in on these exclusive breed leading genetics.

We would like to welcome our two guest consignors, Breed Creek Angus and Triple Play Cattle Co. It is an honor to work with both of these young and progressive cattle programs. We would also be remiss not to Thank Walter, Daryl (Leppa to most of you) and Rae who work alongside us to make Six Mile a success.

U.S Exchange / Travel:U.S. money will be accepted at the current rate of exchange sale day and will be posted prior to the sale. The Regina International Airport is located two and a half hours northeast of the ranch. The closest border crossing to the ranch (Montana into Saskatchewan) is the Port of Opheim and is located abut 25 miles south of the ranch. The ranch is located just an hour northwest of Glasgow, MT.

Payment Terms:The terms of the sale are cash or check payable at par at the completion of the sale. If you purchased an animal as an absentee bidder, please make arrangements to mail a check or wire money within 48 hours of the sale. Welcome to the 2012 “Focus on Females” sale. We once again would like to Thank the Six Mile crew for inviting us to participate as guest consignors. We truly are a family operation were along with my wife, Suzanne, and our children Eric, Luc and Alexi, all pitch in to make things work. I am proud that all three of my children are Canadian Angus members and all three have their own cows of which they register their own calves. Our herd consists of 160 registered black cows and 60 registered red cows along with 120 commercial red and black cows. Out cattle are run in a no frills fashion where the cows are expected to work for us. Simply put, we are very busy and do not have the time to babysit or pamper our cattle; they have to work for us or they are gone.

Many of the heifers offered are sired by our senior herd bull, KM Right Time 7302 - a bull whose influ-ence is just starting to be realized. Our high selling bull in 2011 sold to Six Mile and was sired by 7302. His daughters are as consistent as they come. Servicing the heifers we have three exceptional herd bulls. All the heifers were heat synchronized and bred on April 29th to Soo Line Motive 9016 – a bull whose exclusive service is highly valued. The heifers were then exposed to either Six Mile Trademark 9X or Anderson Tiger 1105Y. The Trademark calves here and at Six Mile are exceptional – they are born light and explode from there. The Anderson Tiger bull looks great and we are expecting great things from this son of the World Angus Forum champion, HF Tiger 5T.

Terms of settlement - The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par. The right of property shall not pass until settlement is made. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. Payment terms can be arranged if you discuss them with Clayton & Corinne prior to the sale.Bids & Disputes - Every animal entering the sale ring will be sold to the highest bidder. In case of disputes, bidding will be re-opened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.Purchaser’s Risk - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.Certificate of Registry - A certificate of Canadian registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal sold as a Registered Animal after settlement is made.

Breeder’s Pregnancy Guarantee - We have had all the females pregnancy checked by a veterinarian. When you purchase these heifers you have 30 days from the sale to notify us of a problem with the pregnancy in the purchased female. At that time the consignor will work with you to rectify the situation to mutual satisfaction.Liability - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, the auctioneer or owners assume no responsibility in this matter and disclaim any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of an accident or loss of property.Insurance - A representative from LIM will be available on sale day. We strongly urge purchasers to insure their new purchases as they become their responsibility as soon as they are sold.Delivery - We will help coordinate delivery to keep it as low as possible.U.S. Shipments - Six Mile will do all the health testing and export papers required for shipment. 5% Sale DiscountFor every female purchased that is transferred into a junior member’s name, we will deduct 5% from the sale price.Pay For Picture PromotionAny Picture $50: We will pay each junior that sends us a digital picture of them and their Six Mile animal $50.00 Cash. This picture can be a show picture or just the junior in the pasture standing in front of his Six Mile animal – it does not matter. We just want to see happy junior members with their Six Mile Genetics. The picture will be used on our website so it must be a high quality digital picture capable of being posted on the internet. Class Winner $100: If you win any class at any recognized show and are able to send us a high quality digital picture of you, your animal and your ribbon – we will send you $100.Division Grand or Reserve Champion Picture $200: If you win Grand or Reserve Champion Female in a Division with your Six Mile female, such as Junior Heifer Calf, at

any show then you quality. Send us a high quality digital photo that we can post on our website and we will send you $200.Overall Grand or Reserve Champion Picture $300: If you happen to get lucky and win the overall Grand Champion Female or Reserve Champion Female at any show, then we will pay your $300 for that picture, as long as it is sent digitally and is high quality.Show CampSix Mile Red Angus is in the process of organizing a “cattle show camp”. Participants will be able to gain valuable knowledge about preparing an animal for show from start to finish from professionals with years of experience. Some topics will include feeding, washing, clipping, showmanship, judging and general show preparation and care. This show camp will be will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 and is offered free to any to any junior who has purchased an animal from Six Mile.
