Page 3: SISTERS OF TOMORROW An association of Oklahoma African Heritage Network Inc Supported by Trinity Missionary Baptist Church

• UMOJA-UNITY: To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation and race.

• KUJICHAGULIA-SELF DETERMINATION: To define ourselves, create for ourselves and speak for ourselves instead of being defined, named, created for and spoken for by others.

• UJIMA-COLLECTIVE WORK AND RESPONSIBITY: To build and maintain our communities together and to make our sisters and brothers problems our problems and solve them together.

• UJAMAA-COOPERATIVE ECONOMICS: To build and maintain our own stores, shops and other businesses and to profit from them together.

• NIA-PURPOSE: To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness.

• KUUMBA- CREATIVITY: To do always as much as we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.

• IMANI-FAITH: To believe with all our hearts in our people, our parents, our teachers, leaders, and the righteousness and victory of our struggles.

THEME SONGPARADISE ROAD

• Come with me down Paradise Road This way please, I'll carry your load This you must believe• Come with me to Paradise Skies Look outside, open your eyes This you must believe• There are better days before us• And a burning bridge behind us• There's fire smoking, the sky is blazing There's a woman waiting, weeping• And a young man nearly beaten• All for love• Paradise is almost closing down• Come with me to Paradise Road• It will change your life• I believe• It will sure change your life• I believe• This you ought to believe• Please take my hand down Paradise Lane Away from hard days without pain (Repeat) You must believe• There are better days before us• And a burning bridge behind us• There's fire smoking, the sky is blazing There's a woman waiting, weeping• And a young man nearly beaten• All for love• Paradise is almost closing• Take my hand• Paradise is almost closing• Take my hand• Paradise is almost closing down•
