• The existing town has grown around the Ministry of Defense's presence and lacks traditional town centre
• Whitehill Bordon currently has a population of 14,000.
• Plan to leave the town in 2014 releasing around 230 hectares of former training land and barracks
• Whitehill Bordon Opportunity project is being run by a multi-agency partnership
Location
Proposals from masterplan include
• New mixed use town centre• Around 4000 new homes (built to zero carbon)• Around 70,000 sqm eco-business park floor
space• Around 127 hectares of new public greenspace• A central public transport hub and modern public
transport systems
