COURSE OVERVIEWThis qualifi cation provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a range of activities and functions within the Fitness industry, including working independently in a broad range of settings, such as within fi tness centres, gyms, pools, community facilities and in open spaces.
Those with this level of competency will be expected to train individual clients, on a one-on-one basis, and may include older clients and children.Persons with this level of competency will have the ability to plan, conduct and evaluate exercise training, provide leadership and guidance to clients and other sta� and possibly deal with unpredictable situations.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTSEntry to this qualifi cation is open to individuals who hold a current fi rst aid and CPR certifi cate and have been recognised as competent through a recognised training program or recognition process against the following units of competency:

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNINGMany of our students already have a high level of skills, knowledge and expertise that can be recognised through a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. Students seeking recognition can apply for RPL on enrolment into a qualifi cation or throughout the duration of their study.
CREDIT TRANSFERIf you have completed previous study that is the same as your intended qualifi cation with another organisation you may be able to apply for a credit transfer or exemption. A copy of the original transcript must be provided when applying for a credit transfer.
