In our 25 plus years as breeders, we have strived to

make the Lazy MC Angus name synonymous with

quality seedstock genetics that provide herd improvements

to the commercial cattleman. We use a moderate, trait-

balanced approach; using all of the technologies within the

industry to evaluate the genetic merit of our cattle. We have

utilized genomically enhanced EPD’s powered by High-

Density 50K from Zoetis. The herd sires in our program offer

calving ease, structure and muscle shape all in a moderate

frame. They have been used around the world and we are

very thankful for the purebred and commercial acceptance

of Lazy MC genetics.

We are very proud of the herdsires featured. They each offer something unique to strengthen our herd, yet despite their differences, represent what we feel are the ideal traits for the Red Angus breed; bone, shape and true power from the ground up. From tried and true sires such as Red Lazy MC Smash 41N to exciting up and comers like Red Lazy MC Eye Spy 64Y, Red NCJ Lazy MC Venom 34Z and WPRA Legacy A-314, we have something for everyone.

The backbone of our program is a functional cowherd and a top donor lineup. These cows have made a name for themselves as top producers, influencing herds worldwide. Females such as Red Lazy MC Miss Firefly 31S and Red Lazy

MC Gold Design 68U are the types of no-miss donors that we offer, cows that provide an outstanding quality calf, year in and year out.

Lazy MC has experienced exciting growth in the past year. Early in 2014 we, along with Dr. Rob Stables, opened the doors to Bow Valley Genetics, Ltd’s brand new bull stud, capable of providing both Canadian Use Semen and Internationally Exportable Semen. This addition to the existing Embryo Transfer facility has given our BVGL customers a great one stop genetic shop. We also were very pleased to add Brian Rogers to our Lazy MC Angus team in 2014 as our US Operations Manager. Brian’s vision and knowledge of the Red Angus business and cattle industry as a whole are a valuable asset to Lazy MC. Brian, his wife Caroline and daughter Lindsey are located in College Station, Texas.
