Volcano Land in Sentosa

Description The Island of Sentosa has a lot in store for its tourists. The Volcano Land in Sentosa

will take you on a journey that will help you to explore the center of the earth.

Children and elders equally enjoy this journey in the company of a mythological

explorer and his robot. Firstly you will get to see an ancient excavation. Then you

will walk past a shaky rope bridge. When you look down you will get to see the

bubbling waters of the pool. The beauties of nature will be revealed to you. You are

sure to be mesmerized by the sight of the underground waterfall. They sparkle and

radiate colors of multiple hues. It is indeed very exciting to listen to the narration of

the explorer at the Volcano Land in Sentosa. He will share the stories of his

adventure with you and also warn you about the impending dangers that lie beyond.

The sheer thrill of entering the interiors of the earth is unexplainable. If you are an

adventure lover there is nothing more than you can ask for than trekking through the

subterranean caves to reach the core of the earth. Here you will get to see many

fossils and bones that date back to the prehistoric era.

Section 3 – Must Dine Restaurants(According to New York Times)

Big D's Grill

Description Big D’s Grill is in a former coffee shop in the middle of a small hawker center.

Although it has the same simple plastic tables and glaring fluorescent lighting that

you’ll find at a typical Singaporean street food stand, there are obvious signs that

something unusual is cooking: an ambitious young team of sous-chefs is squeezed

together in the closet-size open kitchen; professional pots and pans hang from the

wall; and a small crowd of conspicuously stylish urbanites is waiting in line or

crowding in at the tables.

left his job in academia and came to Arab Street and Haji Lane (the cafe has

entrances on both streets) with the idea of attracting Singapore’s Arab residents

East Coast Lagoon Food Village

Description Singapore has its share of white-linen restaurants, but food-mad locals salivate

for hawker centers, open-air food courts where each stall serves one dish and the

cooks yell out their specialties like ballpark vendors. This court, which sits in a

tropical park on the beach, is one of the most popular. With more than 50 stalls,

the Village offers everything from barbecued tiger prawns to Indonesian satay to

drinks made from grass jelly and aloe vera.

Cuisine Hawker food

Price Food choices at stalls include noodles for $3 Singapore, or $2.05 US; $20

Novus

Description At night, Singapore’s National Museum’ soaring marble rotunda, housed in a

neo-Classical-style building from 1887, becomes this funky restaurant. It serves

modern European cuisine with Asian touches like five-spiced duck with poached

quince and crispy-skinned snow cod with garlic pain perdu. If you arrive before

your reservation (highly recommended), sidle over to the nearby bar, Muse, and

rub elbows with the high-society crowd.

Restaurant FiftyThree

Description Michael Han, the head chef and a co-owner of Restaurant FiftyThree, which

opened in February 2009, is a very different kind of local cooking talent. He

started cooking in his late teens and apprenticed at two of the most famous

avant-garde restaurants in the world: Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck in Britain

and Andoni Aduriz’s Mugaritz in San Sebastián. And while these days it seems

that every city has its molecular gastronomy specialist, Mr. Han stands out for

both his ambition and innovation. FiftyThree, which opened early this year in

partnership with Singapore’s prestigious Les Amis restaurant group, is in a

charming two-story colonial-style wooden row building. There’s a private dining

room and a semi-open kitchen on the first level, and a wine cellar and main

dining hall with five tables on the second. The intimate restaurant’s décor, like

the food, it turned out, is modern and multitextured, and you can sense that Mr.

Han, who is behind both, is a perfectionist obsessed with the smallest detail.
