Exploring the 9th Grade Choral Experience!

Sing we together…

Every chorus class, the students warm-up with several vocal exercises.

Some exercises are the traditional warm ups using vowel sounds and staccato phrases.

Others are much more unconventional, including the students favorite, a round called “Sing We Together”.

Sing we together all day long,now sing we all this joyful song!Now descending never ending all day long!

All I Want for Christmas…

In December, the 9th grade chorus performed in a concert along with the A Capella and Chamber Choir, and several band classes.

Some of the selections included “Keep Your Lamps”, “Mexican Christmas Processions”, and “All I Want for Christmas is You.”

Please Excuse Us Mister…

In preparation for the spring concert the chorus has prepared two selections with both the boys and the girls singing.

“Neighbors Chorus” is translated from a comedic opera about a group of nosy neighbors.

Please Excuse us mister,we don’t want to bother, we only want to know…

I Can’t Help Lovin’ that Man Of Mine….

The girls will be singing a jazzy song from the musical “Showboat” called “I Can’t Help Lovin’ That Man of Mine”

Fish gotta swim and birds gotta fly

I gotta love one man till I die…

Talkin’ bout my girl…

The boys will be singing the Motown classic “My Girl”

I gotta sunshine on a cloudy day

When it’s cold outside I got the month of May
