SIMS Primary

What is SIMS Primary?

• Next generation of SIMS

• Cloud-based

• New role-based interface

• Focussed on delivering information to all staff

• Stream-lining of processes

• Live in 5 schools

32

Scomis and SIMS Primary

• Working with Capita as one of a handful of LSUs across the country

• In partnership with a few schools looking at pre-pilot phase, running

tests on schools data while still using SIMS 7 as the main MIS

• Evaluation Phase, checking functionality and ease of access

• Feedback to Capita on all aspects of the new software

• If pre-pilot phase is successful and the schools are happy, we will

move schools to the new platform

33

Scomis and SIMS Primary

• We need to fully understand the implications of moving to the new

software

• We need to identify the most efficient way of moving schools to the

new platform with least impact on critical business processes

• We will need to identify key staff at each school and how to manage

each school though the process

• Implications of Training and On-site support
