Simplified Programming for E750 Standard Switches

Models E754, E755, E763, E770. NOTE 1 : If any major errors are made during programming and you wish to restart, the switch can be returned to a clear status by pressing the “-“ and “+” buttons at the same time. After this, all segments of the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) will illuminate. The display will flash three times, then the indicator light will start flashing, after which the display will revert to factory settings. This can only be done when the unit is in NORM MODE. NOTE 2 : If an error is made during programming, pressing the CANCEL button will allow you to “Step Back” to the previous operation eg, if incorrect time has been accepted (eg AM instead of PM) pressing the CANCEL button allows you to repeat the step. To Set Day and Time 1. Press MODE button until the illuminated bar is under SET UP. 2. The digital clock will flash. 3. Use the “-“ and “+” buttons to set the required time, then press ACCEPT, the illuminated

bar will be under MON. Use the “-“ and “+” buttons to reach the required day, press ACCEPT.

4. The unit now returns to NORMAL MODE. Standard Type Program A standard type of program would be as follows :- PROG 1 06:00AM ON 08:30AM OFF PROG 2 12:00PM ON 02:00PM OFF PROG 3 06:00PM ON 11:00PM OFF PROGS 4 & 5 UNSUSED Setting the Above Program 1. Press the MODE button until the illuminated bar is under PROG (program). 2. If dual channel, select the channel to be programmed ie, CH1 or CH2. Using the “-“ to

select CH1 and the “+” to select CH2. 3. The day indicator will now flash. 4. To select the required day eg, MON, press “-“ or “+” buttons until the marker bar is

positioned under that day. 5. Press ACCEPT button to set the programmed day. ON is now indicated and the 12:00

hour digital display is now flashing. 6. Press the “+” button until 06:00AM shows on the digital clock and press ACCEPT button

(PROG 1 ON time is now set). 7. Press “+” button until 08.30AM shows on the digital clock, press ACCEPT button (PROG

1 OFF time is now set, segments are illuminated on the analogue display from 06:00AM to 08:30AM).

8. Press “+” button until 12:00PM shows on the digital clock and press ACCEPT button (PROG 2 ON time now set)

9. Press “+” button until 02:00PM shows on the digital clock, press ACCEPT button (PROG 2 OFF time is now set, segments are illuminated on the analogue display from 12:00PM to 02:00PM.

10. Press “+” button until 06:00PM shows on the digital clock and press ACCEPT button (PROG 3 ON time now set)

11. Press “+” button until 11:00PM shows on the digital clock, press ACCEPT button (PROG 3 OFF time is now set, segments are illuminated on the analogue display from 6:00PM to 11:00PM.

12. PROG 4 & PROG 5 ON and OFF times have now been pushed back to 11:00PM along with PROG 3 OFF time and do not need to be set, as they will be unused.

13. Press MODE button until the illuminated bar is under NORM. NOTE : To set the above programmes into every day ie, MON to SUN, it is possible to programme each day individually, repeating steps 1 to 13, or by using the COPY function. To Copy 1. Press COPY button, the illuminated bar is positioned under PROG and the day name

marker flashes. 2. Press the “-“ or “+” button until the marker flashes below the previously programmed day

ie, MON. 3. Press ACCEPT button and the day marker becomes solid, with the next day of the week

marker flashing ie, TUE. Press ACCEPT and then “+” button, TUE marker is now solid and WED is flashing.

4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 until all days have been accepted. To Programme over Midnight The E750 switch will not program over midnight in one step eg, 08:00PM to 04:00AM. To achieve this it is necessary to “split” the program ie: PROG 1 12:00AM to 04:00AM PROG 2 08:00PM to 12:00AM Setting the Above Program over Midnight 1. Press the MODE button until the illuminated bar is under PROG (program). 2. If dual channel, select the channel to be programmed ie, CH1 or CH2. Using the “-“ to

select CH1 and the “+” to select CH2. 3. The day indicator will now flash. 4. To select the required day eg, MON, press “-“ or “+” buttons until the marker bar is

positioned under that day. 5. Press ACCEPT button to set the programmed day. ON is now indicated and the 12:00

hour digital display is now flashing. 6. Press the “+” button until 12:00AM shows on the digital clock and press ACCEPT button

(PROG 1 ON time is now set). 7. Press “+” button until 04:00AM shows on the digital clock, press ACCEPT button (PROG

1 OFF time is now set, segments are illuminated on the analogue display from 12:00AM to 04:00AM).

8. Press “+” button until 08:00PM shows on the digital clock and press ACCEPT button (PROG 2 ON time now set)

9. Press “+” button until 12:00AM shows on the digital clock, press ACCEPT button (PROG 2 OFF time is now set, segments are illuminated on the analogue display from 08:00PM to 04:00AM

10. Programmes 3 to 5 now have all times set to 12:00AM. 11. Press MODE button until illuminated bar is under NORM. 12. The above can be set for every day, by using the COPY function. Holiday Function If CANCEL is pressed and held for 5 seconds, whilst the unit is in NORM mode, the clock will continue to run, but all programmes will be disabled until CANCEL is pressed again. OFF is indicated on the display.
