and demand management pilot
program that rewards residential
customers with AIR MILES®
reward miles for reducing their
household energy use.
Simple Energy• Funded by the Ontario Power
Authority’s (OPA) Conservation
Fund, this program aims to
demonstrate how a virtual
engagement platform can assist
customers to manage their own
electricity costs and support Horizon
Utilities’ Conservation and Demand
Management targets.
Simple Energy• The customers who are
enrolled in the Take Charge ·
Save Energy · Earn Rewards
program will receive a
personalized weekly email
on Energy Insight.
Simple Energy• Energy Insight reports will help
customers make sense of their
household energy consumption
and provide customized
insights based on smart meter
data and usage comparisons to
similar households.
Simple Energy• Participants will be able to
track their household
energy usage, view
community leaderboard
rankings, earn rewards and
log the completion of
energy saving tips online.
