The budget was set at $12 million which in 1973 was a relatively substantial amount of money, infact this was the second most expensive film of 1973 second to the Roger Moore and James Bond classic live and let die.

The Exorcist was the highest grossing film of 1973 grossing over $421 million.

The Director was William Freidkin and he has directed other films such as 12 angry men and The guardian.

The film gained the following awards; Empire Movie Masterpiece Award.

Golden Globe Award for Best Director Nominated. Academy Award for Best Director Nominated. Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding

Directorial Achievement.

The budget for this film was $15 million, the film created in June 1982only made a disappointing $19 million in box office revenue.

The director John Carpenter who is known famously for the Halloween films and other famous horror classics.

The Thing received nominations from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films for Best Horror Film and Best Special Effects, but lost to Poltergeist and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, respectively.

The budget for this film was set at $40 million which was the same as the previous film scream 3, however the beginning of the series only cost 15 million and 24 million.

Scream 4 made over $97 million in box office revenue. The director Wes Craven made other films such as A nightmare on Elm Street, The Hills have Eyes and The Last House on The Left.

These films all have similar budgets and they are created within only a few selected institutions. Such as Dimension films.

In June 2011, Scream 4 was nominated for a Teen Choice Award for Best Horror Movie but lost over Paranormal Activity 2.

Scream 4 was released on April 15, 2011 to mixed reviews. It took in $19.3 million its opening weekend in the United States and Canada, making it the second-lowest opening since the first film.
