• In this opening shot we get a first glimpse at our character. The atmosphere is dark showing the lack of happiness this film will hold. We see that the character is very small in the shot as they are climbing up a big hill which is a substantial danger to the character. This shows the audience what the mood of the film will be like throughout the film. You can see that in the vast forest if something went wrong there would be no help for the character which shows the audience the danger once more. With the sound we have slow moving and suspending music.

• Now that we have established that the film is a thriller we can also see a sense of drama as medium shot introduces the character. This is where the audience can find out a bit about the character. They can see that she is a hard working person through the use on mise-en-sense where she has sweat running down her jumper. We also see that she is in the FBI academy which again gives the audience an insight into the character and how she lives her life.

• The text they the editors chose to use for the titles are very bold and they suitably fit the genre of the film. They are good for a thriller because the titles stand out and add suspense so they the audience will be watching with anticipation. Once again it is showing what is install for the audience and catching their attention at the begging of the film.

• As the character starts to run faster as the music starts to pick up with loud violins and multiple music stabs. This is adding to the thrilling genre and it making the audience think that something significant is about to happen keeping them watching.

• This shot shows the problems that the character has to face everyday that she is a woman in a mans job. This is signified by the fact that there are only men in the lift apart from the character. This is shown by two factors when they tower over her and they are wearing the colour red which can seem an intimidating colour to our character. The fact that she has to squeeze into show the audience that this character has to fight her way into her career. She has to try harder than the men which is shown by the fact that she is sweaty and the men are clean.
