General club meeting the fourth Tuesday of every month Discuss upcoming events and service opportunitiesPromote open discussion and fellowship among colleagues
To fulfill their commitment to SSP, members participate in community service and fundraising eventsMembers are required to complete 12 hours of community service per semesterMission StatementAs a club of scholastic achievement and service, we can best serve our community by mentoring the children of Erie academically and socially Kids CafNon-profit organization that functions as a soup kitchen for young childrenSSP members are encouraged to volunteer their time to give homework help to these kidsTeaching basic math and spelling
LEAD ProgramNon-profit organization that mentors teenagers who have had minor altercations with the lawSSP members are encouraged to help these students with their homework Credit recovery program allows these students to graduate high school on schedule
Bi-Annual Blood DrivesCollaborative effort with Community Blood Bank of Erie, PAHeld at LECOM campus every fall and spring since 2002SSP orchestrates the donations of the students, faculty, staff, and community to ensure efficient collection
