Message from the CEO To Our Valued Owners,

Well wasn't that a crazy winter??? They say in Northern Nevada, if you don't like the weather then wait five minutes and

it will change. If you didn't have the opportunity to visit your Lake Tahoe properties this winter then let me fill you in on

what was happening. Tahoe experienced MASSIVE snowfall that made for a truly epic winter for skiers, snowboarders,

and for families visiting the lake to enjoy the winter wonderland! It was truly a sight to see as you traversed the mountain

roads through 20 plus feet of snow on either side of the highway. This winter season brought us not only a ridiculous

amount of snow but also flooding, mudslides, rockslides, and avalanches. Just another day at the o�ce here at QM

Resorts! So we are in the process of assessing damages, making repairs, and preparing for your visit this spring season!

We have been busy working with your Homeowners Association Board of Directors' for your properties in looking to the

future and implementing some great improvements. The Thunderbird Resort interior remodeling project is being kicked

o� and work has started on a much needed refresh of the units. The North Lake Villas and the Tahoe Chaparral in Incline

Village have undergone complete interior remodels that are truly stunning so I recommend booking some bonus time

and taking a few days to enjoy the beautiful North Shore of Lake Tahoe! The Ridge Sierra resort has a new roof and hot

tubs at the Quaking Aspen building and is also receiving all new mattresses for all of the panoramic mountain view two

bedroom condos.

Not all is dreary though, we have been having some absolutely beautiful days up here in Reno and

Tahoe and there are lots of exciting opportunities for you and your loved ones to getaway,

recharge and reconnect from a looooong winter season. I encourage you to start thinking about

the upcoming year and start planning your vacations for 2017. We have another great year lined

up in Northern Nevada with a host of amazing events sure to bring some excitement to your life

Hello, I am Peggy Tavener, your Activities Director. This September I will celebrate 12

years with this wonderful company that I really do call “my home away from home”!

I love planning activities that let our guests take full advantage of mingling with other

guests and striking up new friendships with interesting people. We have guests from all

over the world and it is a pleasure to hear about some of their experiences.

I love providing the atmosphere of fun for our guests to enjoy their vacation time with us.

Summer will soon be upon us and it is my favorite season of all at Thunderbird Resort. We will have pool side activities

as well as our BBQ’s in the courtyard with music, fun and games. Our Cocktail Socials have an international flair, the Ice

Cream Socials are delightful and there are a number of other activities to keep your week exciting. It really is rewarding

to entertain and be entertained!!

I look forward to seeing you all soon!

We’ve made a few changes to the Club QM Owner Rental Program…check it out!

Worried about losing your time?

Club QM’s Owner Rental program is just what you’ve been looking for! With just a few simple steps we’ve made it easy

for you to deposit your current year’s week into the Club QM Owner Rental Program and put your time to work for you!

The Rental Program is available through the QM Resorts Reservations team who are happy to help with all your

reservations needs! Caleb, Kyle, & Shanna are here to answer any questions you may have.

After you sign the Club QM Rental Agreement, aRental Coordinator will put your week for rent on the retail market. There

is no guarantee that your week will be rented, whether as a full-week or day to day increments. (Note: Certain restrictions

may apply, please call the reservations department @ 1.800.821.4912 or email [email protected] more

information).

To deposit your week into the Club QM Rental Program, you must first contact the reservations department and

request entry into the program.

You will receive an email with the program details and necessary paperwork to move forward with renting your

week. Remember: There are NO GUARANTEES that your time will be rented, whether as a full-week or day to day

increments but selecting a desirable time will increase your odds.

Once your paperwork is completed and returned, we will promptly schedule a conference call to go over any

details of the contract, go over your options for depositing your week, and finally we will putyour week to work for

you!

The QM Resorts Reservations Department must receive your completed Rental Agreement & W9 form before your

time can be placed into the Owner Rental Program.

Remember, only your current years’ time and the top tier of your time can be entered into the program.

Your listed interval may be rented by daily increments or in full.

If your week or day to day increments are sold; your check and statement will be mailed

within approximately 45 days after your week is over.

Any nights during your listed week that are not rented

There's probably nothing better than the mountains in summer. The days are hot and sunny and the nights are cool with

that perfect temperature for sleeping in a tent. Lake Tahoe really comes alive in the summer months with various outdoor

sports and special events. Even though this list could go on ad infinitum, we narrowed it down to the top 25.

1. Kayak to Fannette Island, hike up to the tea house and jump o� the rocks into Emerald Bay

2. Hit a few golf balls into the water at Edgewood and then go snorkeling to find them again

3. Get an all-over tan on the nude beach at Secret Cove.

4. Hike to the top of Mount Tallac for views of Fallen Leaf Lake, Cascade Lake, Desolation Wilderness, and South

Lake Tahoe.

5. Bring a picnic for the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival's production of As You Like It at Sand Harbor.

6. Grab a beer and chat with the locals at the Genoa Bar (Nevada's Oldest Thirst Parlor) in Genoa.

7. Hike from Emerald Bay to Lester Beach on the Rubicon Trail.

8. Paddleboard from King's Beach to Crystal Bay on the North Shore.

9. Find your balance at the Wanderlust yoga festival at Squaw Valley.

10. Go kayak or boat camping at the Emerald Bay Boat-In Campground.

11. Go Euro and get a crepe at Co�eebar in Truckee or a gelato at Where We Met café in Tahoma.

12. Fly along the water on a jet ski from Tahoe Sports.

13. Hike to the top of Mount Rose and a get a view of Reno/Sparks, Carson City, Washoe Valley, and all of Lake Tahoe.

14. Hike or mountain bike portions of or the entire 165-mile Tahoe Rim Trail.

15. Knock back a few Tahoe cocktails: the Wet Woody at Gar Woods, the Summertime Sangria at the Ritz-Carlton at

Northstar, or the Crystal Bay Cooler at the Lone Eagle Grille at the Hyatt.

16. Tube the Truckee river through downtown Reno.

17. Jump o� the rocks into the cold, blue water in the Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park.

18. Admire some beautiful boats at the Concoursd'Elegance.

19. Get the beer sampler and a Bad Ass Pizza at the Brewery in South Lake Tahoe. Eat on the outside deck.

20. Take the ferry and then hike the Echo Lakes Trail into Desolation Wilderness.

21. Hang glide o� the top of Slide Mountain with Thermal Sky Sports.

22. After all the hiking and biking, get deep tissue or foot massage at Mountain Lotus Yoga.

23. Go shopping in downtown Truckee.

24. Jump o� the Donner Lake public docks at sunset.

25. Kayak from Sand Harbor to the Thunderbird Lodge.

Thunderbird Resort Club Remodel Update

If you have been an Owner for any length of time then you have probably heard of the upcoming remodeling project at

the Thunderbird for quite some time. Well, the time has finally arrived and the Thunderbird Board of Directors has

approved a proposal for the project to begin. The project has begun with a handful of the units receiving new flooring

and interior paint jobs. As the funds begin to flow into the remodeling fund, management will be earmarking a portion

of the funds for the bulk furniture purchase that will include new sofas, co�ee & end tables, dining sets, beds,

nightstands, lamps and dressers. We will continue to remodel along the way and are estimating a two year completion

time of all units. We will continue to keep you posted via our newsletters and online at www.qmresorts.com on the

Thunderbird Resort page. We look forward to hosting you and your family very soon in a beautifully remodeled room!

We’ve taken some new twists and turns over that past two years and we can now say we have some fresh and eager

members of the reservations team to assist you in fulfilling your vacation dreams.

Caleb Dixon – Revenue & Reservations ManagerCaleb joined the Reservations Department in December of 2015. He has spent most of his career in the Hospitality

Industry here in Northern Nevada since 2004, most recently coming from the Nugget Casino Resort where he was

Director of Hotel Revenue Optimization. He graduated with honors from University of Phoenix with a degree in Business

Management. His experience in customer service, operations, and revenue management has a�orded him the utmost

regard and dedication to the travel industry and no making the QM Reservations Department beyond compare!

Tiana Acosta – OTA SpecialistTiana has been with the reservations department for over a year and brings a bubbly and get ‘er done spirit to the team.

Not only does she have extensive experience in the timeshare industry,

but she is always ready and willing to get the job done with a style and

panache that is 2nd to none!

Shanna McKenzie – Owner Experience SpecialistShanna joined us from the Front Desk and brings her energetic and no

holds barred attitude to the reservations department. Shanna specializes

in making sure all of our owners are having a top notch experience. No

matter what your needs, Shanna is here to make sure they get met!

Kyle Diede – OS & Reservations SupervisorKyle joins us from the Peppermill where he spent 8+ as a Reservations Supervisor and has a multitude of

experience in creating, developing, and maintaining programs such as customer experience, training, and

vacation fulfillment. He brings not only his experience to the table, but an understanding that our owners

deserve the best and he is the man to make sure it will happen!

What are the booking rules you ask…This quarter we will be highlighting our PlatinumPassport. All of our owners are of the utmost importance to every one of us here at QM. We know how busy life can get and we do not expect you to remember all of the rules and benefits of how your ownership works.

Advanced BookingsPlatinum Passport Members can reserve eleven (11) months or less in advance on or after the 15th day of the month.

All other membership levels can reserve ten (10) months or less in advance on or after the 15th day of the month.

What properties can I use?As a Platinum Passport owner you have full use of all of the Club QM properties and facilities. They currently include:

Ridge Sierra – Stateline NV, all two-bedroom units

Lodges at Kingsbury – Stateline, NV one and two bedroom units

Tahoe Chaparral – Incline Village, NV all two-bedroom units

Northlake Lodges - Incline Village, NV studio and one-bedroom units

Northlake Villas - Incline Village, NV all two-bedroom units

Thunderbird Resort Club – Sparks, NV one and two bedroom units

You want options you say…Platinum owners haveunlimited“bonus time” available at all of the Club QM properties except Lodges at Kingsbury. The rate is from $35 to $100/night (not tax inclusive).

Need more time?Platinum Passport Membership will multiply as follows: One (1) Platinum use week equals one (1) week in a two bedroom unit in a Signature Resort; or two (2) weeks in a two bedroom unit in a Deluxe Resort; or three (3) weeks in a one bedroom unit in a Deluxe Resort; or four (4) weeks in a studio unit in a Deluxe Resort.

You won’t lose timeAny time you haven’t used, even one night, will automatically roll over to the following year. It will be

available for your use for 3 years.

Exchange As Platinum owners, your yearly membership to Interval International is included in the dues. But when youexchange you your time through the Club QM direct exchange, you first exchange each year is FREE. Anyother exchanges that year are only $59 per exchange.

Chaparral has 21 two-bedroom units All Chaparral units are a fixed/fixed ownership. This means that you have a fixed week and a fixed unit every year,

and that you have a standing reservation in the same unit every year.

You can change weeks and units. All you have to do is trade with another owner and we will help to facilitate your

changes, assuming another owner is interested in your week.

Tahoe Chaparral has a separate newsletter that comes out quarterly and you as an owner can place an ad to o�er

your unit for sale or trade. Once you place the ad, it stays in each issue until notified to remove it.

You want options you say…You have “bonus time” available that utilizes Foreclosed homeowners association owned weeks for your use. The rate is

$100/nt with a 3 night minimum or $500 for the week (not tax inclusive). Bonus time is available on a first come first

serve basis and only at Tahoe Chaparral Resort.

Advanced BookingsFixed/Fixed reservations are automatically made at the beginning of each year for all of our Chaparral Owners, but you

can book your bonus time 60 days in advance for any extra time should it be available.
