The last 3 days see the battle for the challenge cup! Which house is going to gain the maximum points? Students can enter as many challenges as they wish. You may wish to do 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon? Good luck!
Students have the option to select any challenges to complete each day and the challenges will vary in difficulty from bronze, silver and gold challenges. Each individual bronze, silver and gold challenge completed is worth the following points which will be totalled over the 3 days, you can complete bronze, silver and gold for each challenge and total 6 points:
Bronze challenge = 1 point Silver challenge = 2 points Gold Challenge = 3 points
The top 3 scoring students in each year group will be awarded the following house points: 1st 30 points, 2nd 20 points and 3rd 10 points.
The challenge table will be uploaded at the beginning of each day on Show my homework and students will have the responsibility of uploading their evidence photographs by 2pm. Any photographs not submitted by this time will not count!
There will also be a web page dedicated to the activity days. It will contain instructions from this booklet and a link to a Google form where you should upload your evidence.
Submission Instructions: Students are to upload evidence to Google forms following the correct link on the website for each activity.

Bronze- 1points
Cycle/walk or run 3KM or 1.9 miles - why not pack a picnic or arrange to meet a friend.
Take a picture that represents what your album cover would look like if you were an artist.
Write your name in Chinese. Take a selfie next to 3 local town signs.
Silver- 2 points
Silver: 6 KM or 3.7 miles. BY completing the silver challenge, you also would have completed the bronze!
Make an instrument using junk from around your house. Take a photo.
Design your own flag. Make a model of a famous landmark from resources you have at home? Take a photo.
Gold- 3 points
Gold: 10K+ or 6.2 miles+. By completing the gold challenge, you also would have completed the bronze and silver and bagged yourself a mega 6 points!
Have a go at a couple of karaoke versions of bangers on YouTube photograph you performing.
Write down 8 ways of saying hello and take a photo. Practise saying them to your family.
Create a map to show a weather report of Sidmouth. You could dress up and perform to your family. Take a photo as evidence.
Notes/Links You could download the Strava app and track your distance, time and speed. Ensure you adjust your privacy in settings to followers only.

Instrument making help: Simply type whatever song you want to have a go at followed by ’karaoke’ into YouTube. You could do all 3 challenges and earn 6 points!

On a social distanced walk, take a picture of three historical buildings.
Go to the beach and make a sand castle. Take a photo.
Take a selfie by places of worship (at least 3 different buildings)
Silver- 2 points
Bake a lemon drizzle cake
Create your own paper version of a famous historical costume. It should be Barbie/Action Man sized, or bigger if you prefer.
Make a single tower of pebbles, how high can you make it?
Make a model of a holy building and take a photo
Gold- 3 points
Bake a red velvet cake
Use items around your house and friends/family members to recreate a famous historical painting.
Create a piece of beach art such as a mermaid or octopus, or whatever you can imagine.
Have a go at making traditional Challah bread. Take a photo and get your household to review.

Send a photo of a new talent/hobby you picked up during lockdown
Write a paragraph explaining what the black lives matter movement is and why it is important.
Find 10 things around your house/garden in the colour of your house. Arrange them in an interesting way and take a photograph.
Silver- 2 points
Complete a mindfulness colouring activity. Look up colouring pages on google.
Create your own quiz and be the quiz master with your household.
Create a banner that could be used on a BLM protest
Create a banner with your house name on.
Gold- 3 points
Research what Thai Chi is, seek out a spot in nature and have a go. He video link below may help with some ideas
Create your own board game.
Create a piece of artwork which supports the BLM movement
Dress up silly in your house colours and take a photo
