This year of support ra i s ing ha sbeen a stretching time f or u s -- st re tc hi ng in a good sense as God i s teachingus more and more a bo ut H im se lf and our re la t ionship to Him.     When we f i r s t s tar ted t h i s year, people would ask us what we were doing and wewould te l l them that we were on duputci tCon, Then, of co urs e, they wouldwant to know what in th e world t h a t was. We ve thought a l o t about t h a tWebster defines i t as a group o f p erso ns, or on e p er so n, a pp oi nt ed torepresent o thers . Fo r us, i t ha s come to mean the following:

    0 Our W OL family is going to Tanzania

    N Nearer and nearer to our goal.We have been busy traveling th e s ta te of Kansas meeting with churches andchurch leaders. At this time, we have commitments fo r 70 of our sustainingsupport and 55% of o ur o ut go in g support. We ar e so thankful for thesecommitments and for those who are prayerfully considering being a part of thisministry. Please join us in prayer asking the Lord of the Harvest not only toraise up workers, but, also, to raise those who are willing to send thew o r k e r s i n t o H is f i e l d s

    Our sea conta iner ar rived in February with the help of Jack Dunham, HaroldMiller, and Stony Point Christian Church in Kansas City. To us i t is a large,metal representat ion t ha t we are coming c loser and c loser to our date ofdeparture. We hope to ship the container to Tanzania in May so tha t i t canar r ive in the port by Christmas.

    Pa ck in g ha s become a way of l i f e Our apartment i s q ui ck ly t ak in g on theappearance of a warehouse as we work at g a th e ri ng s up pl ie s fo r a four-yearterm in Tanzania. Sometimes i t seems very overwhelming t ry ing to f igure howmany and of w hat. We are so thankful fo r the h e lp fu l s u gg e st io n s andguidance from the f ie ld team in Tanzania and from th e home off ice . I t helpsto make shopping for four years a reachable task. We have also received lo tsof help from fr iends and family members--they an d people l ike them will makei t possible to complete our packing on time. May God bless each one of you.

    P R AY E R N E E D S

    1. Pray that we might be alert and energetic as we meet with various churchesand mission committees to present our work.

    2. Pray for God to lead us to those churches who will be willing and able tobecome involved as partners in ou r ministry.

    3. Pray fo r positive responses from the churches which we approach in oursupport ra is ing .

    4. Pray fo r the receipt of one-time gifts to finance the large expenditureswhich will need to be made soon. These i nc lu de t he ordering of ourvehicle in March so that i t might be there when we arrive in Tanzania inAugust; and the outfitt ing and shipping of our sea container in May sothat i t might arrive in Tanzania by Christmas.

    5. Pray fo r Doug Priest Jr. as he selects a language study site for us andarranges for a language helper.

    6. Pray fo r the Baraguyu and their receptivity to the Gospel.
