Mantra:"Om Shareeng Hareeng Kaleeng Hareeng Shrimahalakshmiaye Namah"

Shri is the personification of Goddess Lakshmi herself. The symbol of the Goddess of bounties & plenty. Since ancient times, it has been a common practice to install a Shri Yantra at the gate of all Hindu temples. This Yantra is said to possess the powers to remove all negative vibrations and energies from the environment.

Meditating on the Shri Yantra harmonizes and optimizes all legitimate goals in our life.

It is the most powerful geometrical Yantra for peace & prosperity. Its design is based on intersection of nine triangles. Four of these triangles point upward and five downward. The four upward pointing triangles are the Shiva triangle (Male or Yang forces) and five downward pointing triangles are Shakti or Durga triangles (female or Yin forces). A combination of these nine triangles makes Shri Yantra the most dynamic of all Yantras.

For best results, it is recommend two Shri Yantras, one for home and one for work place. Five minutes meditation on Shri Yantra

with the recommended mantra everyday will do wonders to increase all round wealth and prosperity.

Installing a Shri Yantra in one's home or at the place of work will protect from all Vastu deficiencies (referred to as the Fengshui distortions by the ancient Chinese) It purifies the environment and it helps crating wealth and prosperity not only for the individual but also in the entire environment surrounding the individual.

.The Geometry of the Shri Yantra

The Shri Yantra is constructed with eight triangles - four pointing upwards and four pointing downwards - it is the symbol of balance and the static state. The imbalance is deliberately introduced in the construction of Shri Yantra in the form of the 9th triangle, which makes the Yantra dynamic and powerful, symbolizing increasing prosperity and wealth.

Shri Yantra is the only asymmetric geometric Yantra, but the beauty of it is that visually, it will appear symmetrical. Shri Yantra usually represents the body of goddess Tripurasundari but some scriptures refer to it as the navel of the Divine Mother from which the entire universe is created. Shri Yantra is also known as the Yantra of the cosmos. It is constructed on the same principles as the human organism is created. Just as the body has nine Chakras (Psychic centers), so too does the Shri Yantra.

These are:

1. Bindu Name Details Bindu (The point)

The point inside the central triangle and the center of the Yantra is also known as the "Sarva Anandamayi Chakra", which means the point of all-encompassing bliss. The point is the seed of the entire universe, the supreme consciousness and is beyond time and space.

At this point, Kameshwar (the lord of Kama or Desire) and Kameshwari (the Energy of the desire for the final union) remain ever united. The final act of meditation is to concentrate on the Bindu , the symbol of eternal union of Lord Shiva and his consort, Parvati, the symbol of shakti (power/energy).

2. Trikona (Triangle) Details The Trikona is also known as the "Sharva Shiddhiprada Chakra" which means the point of

eternal enlightenment and powers. It is the main triangle where the Bindu is located. This triangle is created when the Bindu manifests itself, in all its radiance. The three goddesses, Kameshwari, Brijeswari and Agamalini represent the three sides of the triangle. They manifest the three Gunas or characteristics of all living beings. (Sattva, Rajash, Tamash).

The Trikona is also seen as a Yoni (female genital organ), the primordial self with three Gunas. These three Gunas represent the three states of consciousness: Jagriti (the waking state) Swapna (the dream state) Sushupti (the state of deep slumber) Meditation on Trikona helps one to exercise the powers of consciousness.

3. Ashtar DetailsAshtar is the group of eight triangles, is also known as "Sarva Roga Hara Chakra" which means destroyer of all disease or disturbance of ease. The 8 triangles, in fact symbolize the 8 implements or weapons held by Kameshwar and Kameshwari to destroy all diseases. The 8 triangles of Ashtar and one Trikona - these 9 triangles are called the "Navdwar Chakra" - the foundation stone of the phenomenal world.

Meditation on the Ashtar, Trikona and Bindu gives protection, power, bliss and takes away all kinds of spiritual, mental and physical ailments.

4. Antardashar DetailsThe group of ten triangles that surrounded the Ashtar is known as "Sarva Rakshakar Chakra"- the all round protector. Protection is achieved not from the outside but from within - through inner discipline. The ten triangles represent all the five organs of action and the five organs of sense, known as the Indiryas. By controlling

these ten Indriyas one creates an inner protective shield from all external stimuli. Within the ten triangles are seated ten Yonis representing the ten body fires or functions.

Function Sanskrit NamePurgation RechakDigestion PachakAbsorption ShoshakBurning DahakSecretion of enzymes in the body PlavakAcidification KsharakTaking out UddharakCreating pessimism and frustration KshobhakAssimilating JrambhakCreating luster Mohak

Meditation on this group of 10 triangles regulates these 10 body functions and helps one become the master of the five organs of actions and five organs of senses - providing full internal protection.

5. Bahiradashar Details

The group of ten outer triangles that surround the Antardashar is also known is "Sarva Artha Sadhak Chakra"- the point of realization of all desires. This Chakra gives one the power to realize what one wants - whatever gives meaning to ones life. It removes all impediments to pursue wealth or Artha in this life. In the ten triangles reside ten Yonis or Shaktis (Energy points). These Shakties regulates the ten Pranaas or life forces in human organism. It is through Pranaas that everything becomes alive and full of meaningful (Artha). Meditation on this Chakra helps one get control over Pranaas which in turn gives control over mind. The

mind works through ten Indriyas (five organs of action and five organ of senses). The sense organs make the outside world meaningful and the organs of the action provide the skill to obtain the objects of desire and satisfy the senses

6. Chaturdashar DetailsThe group of fourteen outermost triangles or Shaktis is also known as 'Sarva Saubhagya Dayak Chakra'. This means the divine grace, which allows us to take control of our destiny or fortune.

These fourteen Shaktis reside in manas (mind) buddhi (intellect) chitta (being) and ahankara (ego or self consciousness) and the ten Indriyas. This creates the complete synthesis - and we are blessed with "Divine Grace" to create the destiny that we desire in this life.

7. Ashtadal DetailsThe inner ring of eight-louse petals is also known as Sarva Sankshoban Chakra. These petals symbolize the seat of eight goddesses. Their functions are: Vachan (Speech) Adan (Transaction) Gaman (Departure) Visarg (Transcendence) Ananda (Bliss) Han (Absence/detachment) Upadan (Giving) Upeksha (Neglect) The eight petals symbolize: Rupa (Form) Rasa (Test) Gandha (Smell)

Sparsha (Touch) Shabda (Sound) Nada (Primordial Sound) Prakriti (Primordial nature) Purusha (The self) This is the superset of our complete human existence. Meditation on this Chakra harmonizes the complete human existence in all its manifestation.

8. Shodashdal DetailsThe ring of sixteen lotus petals, the final outer ring of the Yantra is also known as "Sarva Ashapurak Chakra". This is the point of fulfilling all our hopes and desires, of materializing all kinds of expectations. It is the final wish fulfilling Chakra. The sixteen petals are the seats of sixteen Shaktis. The Shaktis work through five Elements, ten Indriyas and one Mind - The sixteen tools that are represented by the sixteen petals. We start our meditation from this outer ring of sixteen petals where we first create the intent to seek divine grace to fulfill all our desires and finally end our Shri Yantra meditation on the Bindu, the point of ultimate consciousness. The two rings of lotus petals are related to lunar energy whereas the groups of forty-three triangles are related to solar energy, and this is what makes the Shri Yantra so dynamic - the combination of lunar and solar energy.

9. Bhupur DetailsFinally all geometrical Yantras reside on Bhupur, the square with four gates is also known as "Traiyelok Mohan Chakra", the point that attracts the three Lokas (places) the physical, astral and the celestial. Bhupur is the seat of the Yantra - the dwelling place of Shakti, representing the grass material phenomenon - in which Shakti dwells as long as cycle of creation and preservations lasts.

Niwas Sthan (home) of Sampoorna (all) Devis and Devtas (God and Goddess) in religious term.

Meditation is done on the tip of the Shree Yantra (Mahatripur Sundari) and while chanting Mahalaxmi Mantra concentrate on the tip and meditate with open eyes. It is also helpful for students in achieving focus and intelligence .

FOR OTHER RELIGIONS Since Sri yantra works on the cosmic ray theory, apart from Hindus even Muslims, Parsis, Christians and people following other religions also believe in it because they believe in the cosmic ray theory of the stones. Aum (also Om, ॐ) is the most sacred syllable in Hinduism, in which Vedic tradition it originated. The syllable is sometimes referred to as the "Udgitha" or "pranava mantra" (primordial mantra); not only because it is considered to be the primal sound, but also because most mantras begin with it. As a seed syllable (bija), it is also considered holy in Esoteric Buddhism.

.

Origin: Found first in the Vedic scriptures of Hinduism, Aum has been seen as the first manifestation of the unmanifest Brahman (the single Divine Ground of Hinduism) that resulted in the phenomenal universe. Essentially, all the cosmos stems from the vibration of the sound 'Aum' in Hindu cosmology. Indeed, so sacred is it that it is prefixed and suffixed to all Hindu mantras and incantations. It is undoubtedly the most representative symbol of Hinduism. The OM symbol's left part, which is like a figure 3, is also a component of some Devanagari letters, where it means "this syllable has no initial consonant".

Philosophy of AUM

Gods and Goddesses are sometimes referred to as Aumkar, which means Form of Aum, thus implying that they are limitless, the vibrational whole of the cosmos. Ek Onkar, meaning 'one god' is a central tenet of Sikh religious philosophy. In Hindu metaphysics, it is proposed that the manifested cosmos (from Brahman) has name and form (nama-rupa), and that the closest approximation to the name and form of the universe is Aum, since all existence is fundamentally composed of vibration. This is considered by some to be reminiscent of some current physical theories such as quantum physics and super string theory, which describe the universe in terms of vibrating fields or strings.

It is frequently used to represent three subsumed into one, a common theme in Hinduism. It implies that our current existence is mithya, or 'slightly lesser reality,' that in order to know the full truth we must comprehend beyond the body and intellect and intuit the true nature of infinity, of a Divine Ground that is imminent but also transcends all duality, being and non-being, that cannot be described in words. Within this metaphysical symbolism, the three are represented by the lower curve, upper curve and tail of the ॐ subsumed into the ultimate One, represented by the little crescent moon-shape and dot, known as chandrabindu. Essentially, upon moksha, mukti, samadhi, nirvana, liberation, etc. one is able not only to see or know existence for what it is, but to become it. In attaining truth one simply realizes fundamental unity; it is not the joining together of a prior manifold splitting. When one gains true knowledge, there is no split between knower and known: one becomes knowledge/consciousness itself. In essence, Aum is the signifier of the ultimate truth that all is one.

Examples of Three into One:

Creation (Brahma)- Preservation (Vishnu)- Destruction (Shiva) into Brahman

Waking- Dreaming- Dreamless Sleep into Turiya (transcendental fourth state of consciousness) Rajas (activity, heat, fire)- Tamas (dullness, ignorance, darkness)- Sattva (purity, light, serenity/shanti) into Brahman Body, Speech and Mind into Oneness

The Chandogya Upanishad (1.1.1-10) states, "The udgitha is the best of all essences, the highest, deserving the highest place, the eighth."

"Aum" can be seen as Sri Ganesh, whose figure is often represented in the shape of Aum. He is thus known as Aumkar (Shape of Aum). Sri Nataraja, or the Hindu god 'Shiva' dancing his dance of destruction, is seen in that popular representation mirroring the image of Aum. It is said to be the most perfect 'approximation' of the cosmic existence within time and space, and therefore the sound closest to Truth.

"The First Word Om (Aum) It is also called Pranav because its sound emanates from the Prana (vital vibration), which feels the Universe. The scripture says "Aum Iti Ek Akşara Brahman" (Aum that one syllable is Brahman).

When you pronounce AUM: A - emerges from the throat, originating in the region of the navel U - rolls over the tongue M - ends on the lips A - waking, U - dreaming, M - sleeping It is the sum and substance of all the words that can emanate from the human throat. It is the primordial fundamental sound symbolic of the Universal Absolute."

Today, in all Hindu art and all over India and Nepal, 'Aum' can be seen virtually everywhere, a standard sign for Hinduism and a vast but economical storehouse for the deep mythology inherent in the world's oldest religion.

It has been argued that Aum can be translated, into English, as "Eternal Yea". Notes the Chandogya Upanishad, "That syllable, is a syllable of permission; for, whenever we permit anything, we say Aum." However, this is seen by others as a myopic perspective because the same Hindu scriptures, the Upanishads, that aver this function also attribute to it the divine property of the source of the universe. Aum is seen as the source of existence as we know it within the causal dimensions of time and space, and thus affirmatory meanings in languages are a natural progression. Aum is not only affirmation, but negation, and transcends both.

The AUM sound is sometimes called "the 3-syllable Veda". The third syllable arises because in Devanagari and similar alphabets, a consonant at the end of a word is sometimes written as a separate consonant letter with the virama "no vowel" sign, and this combination is treated as a syllable when talking about Devanagari writing rather than about phonetics.

The Sanskrit word omkāra (from which came Punjabi onkār, etc), literally "OM-maker", has two families of meanings:-

Brahma (god) in his role as creator, and thus a word for "creator". Writers' term for the OM sign.

Some quotations from Hindu scriptures regarding AUM

In the Rig-Veda we find the following information; "One who chants om, which is the closest form of Brahman, approaches Brahman. This liberates one from the fear of the material world, therefore it is known as tarak Brahman."

"O Vishnu your self-manifest name, om, is the eternal form of cognizance. Even if my knowledge about the glories of reciting this name is incomplete, still, by the practice of reciting this name I will achieve that perfect knowledge. "He who has unmanifested

potencies and is fully independent, manifests the vibration omkara, which indicates Himself. Brahman, Paramatma, and Bhagavan are the three forms He manifests."

Aum takes the form of Gayatri, then Veda and Vedanta sutra; then it takes the shape of Srimad Bhagavatam and the lila, the divine pastimes, of the Lord."

Other traditions, interpretations and understandings

ༀ Tibetan "Om" symbolWith Buddhism's evolution and breaking away from Vedic/Hindu tradition, Aum and other symbology/cosmology/philosophies were co-opted from the Hindu tradition. This character often appeared as "唵" in Buddhist scripts in East Asia. In Buddhism this syllable is almost never transliterated as Aum, but instead as Om. This syllable is also incorporated in the mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum".
