Open space on grass at depths of 6, 12, 18 & 24 metres. Anyamount of frontage may be booked in multiples of 1 metrefrom a MINIMUM 6 metres. Exhibitors are responsible forarrangements to cover their sites.

Covered space covered sites, with or without a floor, in unitsof 3m x 3m or 3m x 6m, including night sheets andsignwritten facia.

Exhibition Hall - Shell scheme stands in units of 3m x 2mand 3m x 3m to include carpeting, facia board, one twinspotlight and a twin 13 amp power point. Additional electricalrequirements can be ordered through the organisers.

VERY IMPORTANT CONDITIONS

ALLOTMENT OF SPACE Every endeavour will be made to meet thegeneral wishes of exhibitors with regard to their position, in so faras it is possible to do so, within the general layout of the groundand without occasioning unfairness to others. The right is reservedto reject any proposed entry, or to cancel any entry that has beenmade, without being required to state any reason for so doing. Insuch cases the fees will be refunded.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE The showground will be open for thereception of exhibits on or after 14 October. Exhibitors must havetheir stands arranged in proper order by 9 am on 23 October andmay not dismantle before 4.30 pm on 24 October.

CANCELLATION OF EXHIBITION If for any reason the event iscancelled, any payments made by intending exhibitors for space,services etc will be refunded in full.

CANCELLATION OF SPACE RESERVED Where an exhibitor cancelsthe space reserved for him for any reason, all fees paid will beforfeited and the right is reserved to re-let the space. Exhibitors arealso liable for unpaid fees if reserved space is cancelled.

DELIVERY TO STANDS Delivery to stands on 23 and 24 Octobermust be made before 8.30 am. No vehicle will be allowed withinthe exhibition area after this time, except in emergencies.

DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION ACT 1995 Exhibitors are remindedthat this legislation is now in force. The organisers are satisfied thatthey have made adequate provision to comply with itsrequirements in areas for which they are responsible. Exhibitorsshould give consideration to the requirements in respect of theirown areas.

FIRE PRECAUTIONS Fire precautions on stands are theresponsibility of the exhibitor. Any exhibitor intending to use gascylinders (eg Calor, propane, butane, helium etc) on the days of theshow is to notify the organisers. The Regulatory Reform (FireSafety) Order 2005 SI2005/1542 make it a requirement that riskassessments to cover fire precautions are available in writing.Please ensure that any structure you erect or have involvementwith at the Showman’s Show has sufficient written information tocomply with these new requirements. The organisers cannot accept

any responsibility for the preparation or production of suchdocumentation should enforcement officers require it to beproduced.

HEALTH & SAFETY It is a condition of entry to the Showman’sShow that every individual, exhibitor, sub-contractor or suppliermust comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 andall associated legislation whilst on site. This requires all employers,self-employed and employees to assess the risks in connectionwith their work activities towards workers, members of the publicand any others who may be affected directly or indirectly by theirundertaking. This risk assessment should include identifying thehazards in any undertaking and the evaluation of the extent of therisks involved and implementing any control measures required tominimise or eliminate the risk and should be in writing. A copy ofthe written assessments should be available in advance and on-siteshould it be required either by the Safety Officer or by anyenforcement officers who may request it. All structures andequipment must comply with all current legislation, guidance andgood practice.

SECURITY The safe keeping of any article exhibited or broughtinto the showground is the responsibility of the exhibitor. Twenty-four hour security will be in operation on the 14 to 30 October.

SITE CLEARANCE The exhibitor must replace turf, fill in holes andmake good any damage done to the ground occupied by him andclear away any materials, metal, glass, rubbish etc. The right isreserved to charge for reinstatement not carried out by theexhibitor. All exhibits must be cleared by 12 noon on Wednesday 30 October.

STAND CLEANING It will be the responsibility of the exhibitor tokeep his stand tidy.

SUB-LETTING & SHARING Exhibitors are not permitted to sub-letany part of the space allocated to them. However, genuine sharingof space eg:- a tentage contractor and a caterer will be permitted,but the organisers must be informed and every exhibitormust complete an application form and appear in theprogramme.
