WELCOMING A NEW ERA AT MITECMETALTECH and AUTOMEX’s inaugural exhibition at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) is highly anticipated by all parties - exhibitors, visitors and even organisers! MITEC is a magnificent showpiece in the new KL Metropolis development and boasts state-of-the-art facilities capable of hosting heavy industries showcases and large scale events. It is the first of its kind in the country and the largest exhibition centre ever built in Malaysia. With 1 million square feet of exhibition space and triple volume exhibition halls, MITEC also consists of the largest pillar-less exhibition hall in Malaysia (equivalent to 2 football fields!) and is strategically located within the Jalan Duta Government Complex area in the Kuala Lumpur district, together with notable landmarks such as the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) Headquarters, MATRADE Tower and the National Palace.

MITEC also sets a new benchmark in exhibition facilities, and we are very excited by the opportunity to present exhibitors with bigger and larger volume halls, giving them the opportunity to showcase even larger machinery and installations. MITEC is also set to offer much greater convenience of access, with 1,400 parking bays available at the venue’s tiered basement car park and many other advanced facilities. To ensure everyone is given the chance to make the most use of these larger exhibition spaces and new facilities, METALTECH and AUTOMEX will organise special tours to MITEC for exhibitors, VIPS, associations and visitors to familiarise them with the new venue.

METALTECH is the most prestigious machine tools and metalworking exhibition in Malaysia. It gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our company’s true core values and breakthroughs on “creativity” and

“innovations” to our clients and industry players. METALTECH is where we can build brand awareness and seize market share. This is why METALTECH is great. This annual event also offered us the opportunities to interact with numerous professional visitors, we got good feedback from the show last year which increased our confidence to continue launching our products in the Malaysia market next year.

Our main reason for exhibiting at METALTECH 2019 was to give our exports a boost – something we cannot achieve like this at any other similar event. The first day of METALTECH 2018 was already excellent for us. We

were delighted at the lively interest shown by the visitors, including their openness to new ideas. For next year, we are also very happy about our prime location in MITEC – a venue which impressed us across the board. Overall, we welcome all of the enhancements made for METALTECH 2019 – enhancements which will certainly prove beneficial to us, among others.

We’re here at METALTECH for as long as we can remember. Our decision to return to the show next year had a lot to do with the new venue at MITEC which makes the show easier to navigate for visitors across the grounds. The new distribution of topics

involving Industrial 4.0 in the show this year has given us the opportunity highlight our new intralogistics solutions, products and services. Given the smart manufacturing theme and our booth location in Hall 7 as the automation-driven hall, everything is heading in the right direction and we expects the ways in which exhibitors and visitors interact and network in the new venue will be greatly enhanced.
