2016 America Recycles Day Art Contest
Sponsored by the Recycle Guys & the Carton Council
America Recycles Day is a time that kids can help spread the word about the importance of recycling, especially at school. Students in grades K‐8 can help by designing a poster and slogan that displays the importance of recycling and encourages other kids to recycle too. Plus, you can win great prizes! Judging Guidelines Each poster should contain both artwork and a slogan that promotes recycling. Posters will be judged on creativity, design, slogan catchiness, and relation to the subject of recycling. The poster contest will be announced on November 15th, to help North Carolinians celebrate America Recycles Day. Grand Prize Winner Receives $100 gift card, will have their poster distributed to schools across North Carolina, and receive
recycling containers for their school.
Runner‐Up Winners Two runner‐up posters will each receive a $50 gift card and recycling containers for their school.
First 250 Entries
The first 250 contest entries will automatically receive a special thank you packet of gifts from the Recycle Guys!
Contest Rules
Students in grades K‐8 can enter into this poster contest. Artwork should be in full color. All artwork must be the student's original creation. The poster should be created on 8.5” x 11” or 11” x 17” paper. Do not frame or mat the
artwork. Horizontal or vertical formats are both accepted. The Entry Form must be completed and PAPER CLIPPED or STAPLED to the back of the artwork.
PLEASE NO TAPE You can find the entry form at www.recycleguys.org Posters will not be returned. The deadline for entering this contest is October 21, 2016.
