ELECTRICAL TESTING - What's All The Fuss About?

The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 states that an employer has a ‘duty of care’ to ensure that their employees (and those affected by their work) are safe.

As well as being legally responsible, an employer has an implied responsibility that steps are taken to ensure employees health and safety are not at risk.

An employer might be found liable for his actions or failure to act even if these are not written in law.

Thermal ImagingElectrical thermal imaging is a non-contact temperature measurement survey which is carried out on electrical equipment without any disruption to service.

The hotspots detected reveals that an electrical break-down or fault may occur within the equipment, which provides the client essential information that his electrical equipment requires attention before failure.

Thermal imaging on a regular basis on industries that can’t be isolated due to production could save the client thousands of pounds on detecting faults before they occur.
