Layout and images_Jacqueline Hill TO FOLLOW IN THE THEME OF THE MAY LANE ARTICLE, I FOUND THIS FABULOUS STENCIL FREEZE ON KING STREET, NEWCASTLE. IT MADE ME SMILE AND IT LIFTS AN OTHERWISE PLAIN, IF NOT UGLY STRECH OF URBAN LANDSCAPE INTO A DELIGHTFUL MOMENT. What a strange, unexpected thing to find. A large suspended cage full of cupid dolls. The dolls were of various sizes. Some, of them were huge. They were of varying colours and hues too. Some of them were brown, some were darker brown and there was one that was black.
