Employee and Family Assistance Program New Numbers New Look! Over the past several months, we have been reviewing our Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) and are pleased to announce some program changes and enhancements to our service. Effective July 1, 2011, we have decided to continue our relationship with Shepell·fgi to provide their professional counselling and information services for all of our employees and their immediate family members. Confidential counselling and work/life services are available, at no cost, to each employee or eligible family member. Should specialized assistance be required, you’re Shepell·fgi counsellor or consultant will make an expert referral to appropriate professionals and agencies in the community. The fees for such referral services are the responsibility of the employee or family member. However, some of these services may be covered by your provincial health plan or your extended benefits plan. Your EFAP helps you achieve a healthy work-life balance so that you are equipped to cope with the issues of everyday life. The Shepell·fgi EFAP program includes: Short term, resolution focused counselling Work-life balance services (financial, legal and child/elder care, to name a few) Confidentiality is assured Service is available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week New Numbers 1-800-387-4765 (English) & 1-800-361-5676 (French) (If you accidentally call the old EFAP number, you will receive service) Your EFAP On-line access www.workhealthlife.com For Online Counselling access www.shepellfgi.com/ecounselling Confidentiality and privacy are assured, within the limits of the law, to each employee and family member who uses the EFAP program. You are contacting Shepell·fgi directly and they do not share any information on any individual case with Preferred Health Care Services. A brochure describing the Shepell·fgi Employee and Family Assistance Program in further detail will be made available shortly for distribution to all eligible employees. This employee benefit reflects our continued commitment to the physical and emotional well- being of our employees. We trust that this additional form of assistance will serve our employees well as they contribute in unique and important ways to the success of Preferred Health Care Services.
